My immediate thoughts on this revival are a) done to death b) wrong show to revive, tried a few years back, not a great success c) odd choice of presenter
Conclusion: will fail, most probably

Clearly (and I know it's a good few years ago) you don't remember Tiswas.

Chris Tarrant is totally the wrong choice of presenter, far too straight for what's been treated as a silly 'ironic' game

This show is not coming back with Chris Tarrant, as confirmed by him on a podcast on this page.

Of course I do, but that (and OTT) is a whole diffrent sort of presentation style. Besides, these days he's so far removed from Tiswas.

Until Kenny Everett bent his mike
I think Les Dawson got the biggest cheer of his career when he conclusively snapped that mike in half on his first BB!
Edna would be good; not sure if she's working with ITV still, no sign of her chatshow returning?
Lily used to treat the show with the 'respect' it deserved. I remember she threw a toaster (one of the prizes) across the studio floor, took the mickey out of punters and traded in bitchfests with regular panelist Sherie Hewson.
I think Lily also brought some edge to the show. I recall when Gareth Hunt was on BB, she parodied his coffee adverts by using a hand/wrist gesture that could be interpreted in two ways! Also there was the infamous "when Hans the Dutch boy found the crack in the dyke, he put his 'blank' in it" question, which Lily made much play of!

I like the one that went: "Our Jason has just started shaving. I wouldn't mind, but he's started shaving his blank or blanks " (!). As Lily then wandered amongst the panellists, she feigned looking at what Barbara Windsor was writing, and said: "That's got two Ls in it, love..."

I have lots of uncut footage of Lily doing the BBC BB. Paul loses his rag at the crew so often its comedy in itself!
"What?! I've read the f***ing question three times now!"

I was in the audience for one episode of the BBC Lilly Savage series. The only thing I remember is that they had to hold up a big sheet on a stick in front of her as she walked onto set so not to spoil the reaction when we saw her outfit
