Blackadder II on UK (TV) Gold

It's quite bizarre but Im watching Blackadder II on UK(TV)Gold nd it doesn't look quite right.

There have been several scene changes ( and i noticed this last week) that look almost NTSC.

Generally it looks "normal" if you like, but on a few scene changes it has been slightly blurry

Anyone know what copies they are using?
Or has anyone else noticed this ?

i have noticed on the UKTV+1 channels the quality poor and the stream seems to be highly compressed, whilst on the main UKTV channels the picture is ok - did you spot this on a +1 channel?

aha that must be it. I was indeed watching on +1
