Last year with the hot weather, I managed to get some astounding results from my humble bog standard car aerial. Living in Milton Keynes, I normally get the regional ILR stuff with some stations from Northampton, Oxford and Heart performs really well out of the London stations.

Last year I was getting stuff from East of England from the likes of SGR, Vibe FM. I was also getting Broadland. It's been a while but I was certainly get a fair share of them and the RDS was picking up on them.

Annoying depending on the weather, if I put RDS on Heart. It will sit on "Heart" at 106.2FM but if I drive around it will switch to the Midlands based Heart "Heart FM" (RDS) at 100.7FM which means I have to deselect the RDS function just to listen to one of them.

It's quite normal to be able to pick up distant stations on the medium wave after dark, I mean you often hear a station behind a station where both are on the same frequency in different parts of the country.

I used to be able to pick up what I presumed was "Radio Sweden" on the medium wave, as well as all the french stations coming over from France. "Sweden" only lasted a couple of days, never been able to receive it since.

Re: TV - Before changing the digibox to SCART, it used to fairly regularly clash with another ITV region on UHF Channel 29. At the time I thought it was Tyne Tees and coming from the Bilsdale West Moor transmitter. Yet according to http://www.wolfbane.com/uktv.htm channel 29 is also used by what I suppose is a relay (Roose) in the Granada area. But I don't think it would have come from there since it doesn't look powerful enough. Kind of difficult to work it out considering all ITV looks the same these days

Here in London Sweden has a better signal than some ILRs, it's been like that for many years
