Birthday People on ITV1 Westcountry

Birthday People seems to have disappered from Westcountry. Today, after the 3pm news it went to a local programme trailer ans then straight into a CITV ident.

I think all the social action programmes in the 3.13 slot have gone.

City Survival Guide has certainly disappeared in London.

As a result the 3pm bulletins seem to start later now.

Channel TV have still got Puffin's Pla(i)ce, but it is considerably shorter than it was pre Christmas, I presume it's down to the length of the 2:30 programme or something. Maybe they're putting more adverts on at 3pm to compensate the loss within CiTV.

Has lifeline gone?

Bloomin' ITV - if Gus was still around he'd have something to say about it!

Kind of a sad day to see Westcountry's birthday slot go the same way as all the others (I think it's only Oscar Puffin left now isn't it?), but on the other hand, it was only a matter of time. The programme has been in decline for several years, and since fewer and fewer cards got read out over time, I can only presume that fewer and fewer people sent them in.

Even if ITV hadn't gone the way it has and Westcountry was still in control of it's own schedule, they would in all probability have made the decision themselves to axe it.

TTTV's Crimestoppers and Community Link features have gone too - though I think Crimestoppers was on last weekend.
The headlines from Signpost BSL are still there though.

At least some people have got Puffin,except there the presenter's the one who's funnier judging by the comments on here!
BTW,good job birthday people has gone actually.It was asking for it with no presenters!
But it could have at least been replaced by something.
