Just to bring up a valid point...

Now there is no Grandstand programme, when are the BBC going to pay tribute to Bill for his many years of work with the BBC, as they would have done in a Grandstand programme? It would be completely silly to pay tribute to him in a programme that concentrated on another sport... and there's no tennis scheduled on the BBC at present.

Sky Sports News were paying tribute to him last night, but they just had one of his colleagues on the phone talking about him and a still. You make a point, I take it since the dropping of Grandstand they have no-one coming onscreen in between each Sport programme in that slot do they?

Nope, everything is just linked into by continuity these days, but I think sometimes they go straight from one sport to the other.
