A Big THREE & Some Orange Blobs: BBC Three (B3) Pres

THREE... It's a magic number.

For the last four years and four months we've all become accustomed to that catchphrase.

Here's a thread to discuss BBC THREE (B3) presentation:

Do you love the way all the pre-programme idents on BBC Three have the big blue THREE (viewed from various angles), and one or more orange blobs? That's right, some idents have as few as one blob, some have two or three, one has all the blobs (the "THREE - it's a magic number" one). Also almost every ident, one or more of the blobs says or sings something. I wonder who thought up all those phrases that are said or sung during the idents?

'Three Is A Magic Number' has been completely scrapped as the music AFAIK.

and don't start all that 'B3' nonsense, it does my head in.

At least the Glastonbury ident is back; I think there's quite a batch from the regulars too that doesn't get enough of an airing these days - IMO they should have all sequences in circulation on-air.

Thanks a million Paul Clark for telling me that. I never knew they had a special Glastonbury ident this year, last year or before. Is there really such an ident? I've set my DVD recorder to record the ident at the start of tonight's BBC3 coverage of Glastonbury, starting at 0:30.

I doubt they played a Glasto ident last year. There was no Glastonbury.

Oh rats! I forgot there was no Glastonbury Festival last year. There was a Glastonbury Festival in 2005 (just checked Wiki) - did BBC3 have a special Glastonbury ident for that? I don't remember watching Glastonbury coverage on BBC3 that year, in fact the festival doesn't appeal to me.
