On Breakfast this morning just after 7am, Dermott announced that as Moira was caught ill earlier, that they would do the headlines.

What happened exactly? and how was Moira taken ill?

At 7:30am Jules had arrived! To save the day! Was Moria on at all this morning?

*gaspies*

I think this is partly my fault.

I have been deserting BIG MOIRA all week to watch the CBeebies singalong interactive this week and - shock horror - this morning I left the TV on GMTV.

This is a sign from Moira - she is testing us - keep watching Breakfast.

Christ almighty, I'm apparently the only one who finds this LESS funny every time the "joke" is cracked.

Why do'you think I do it?

How long is Moira likely to be ill for? If any BBC Breakfast people read this forum, can I take this opportunity to wish her a quick return to health and hope that she returns to our screens soon.

Just one question; why on Earth is she called BIG MOIRA? Does this relate back to what Danny Baker called her on her appearance on Comic Relief in 1993 in that Fifteen to One quiz hosted by Jonathan Ross, or does it have another origin?

I thought she was called 'big' Moira because of her large hairdo in the early 1990s! I think there's a picture of it on The TV Room somwhere! I might be wrong about why - Hyma, where did it come from?

That's pretty much it - her *enormous* hair and her general fabness is where BIG comes from.

Plus - thrilling fact - she is the first person I remember on TV.

TV Room.

I do like Moira, she should be on BBC One news more - better than AWFUL darren jordon and AWFUL sophie raworth and AWFUL fiona bruce and AWFUL huw edwards.

MOIRA HAD PRESENTED THE 2 BULLETINS BEFORE 7AM, BUT DID NOT LOOK TOO WELL. IT WAS ANNOUNCED BY JULIA ON HER FIRST BULLETIN THAT MOIRA DID FEEL A LITTLE BETTER.
