The big ITV companies

Well, let's face it, Granada and Carlton are not doing a very good job as the main companies of ITV.

In your dreams, who would you like to run ITV. Take into consideration presentation, capability and regionality.

Please bear in mind that this is my first and only pointless poll!

If I were in charge, I'd kick Carlton out of the London weekday franchise, replacing it with London Weekday Television .. Then for the weekend, Thames Television would take over http://web.ukonline.co.uk/tv.home/forum/emoticons/cheesy.gif

Also Central would be resurrected, independant of Carlton, just leaving HTV and Westcountry as Carlton-owned franchises.

Well, I voted Border, for the simply reason that it would be really really funny .

Yeah, I like Mr Videowall's idea of L ondon W eekday T elevision - my vote would go to LWT, providing they give themselves a complete makeover!

It should be HTV. It would be a channel to rival Comedy Central then

Reason - stuff what anyone else says, they do what they like. I can just imagine a purple and white TVS - NOT!
And, they do a great blend job with their idents into programmes.

Hey hey. I agreed with you there, until I read 'providing they give themselves a complete makeover!'. I disagree there! The videowall is great. If they did variations of the videowall, it would be super.

Well Mr Videowall...I do think they should get a makeover. When I was writing about the makeover bit in my last post I thought to myself 'Mr Videowall ain't gonna be happy with me on this!' - I know you too well matey!

If ITV1 wanted the perfect ident for all their channels they should look to the LWT videowall.

The idea is I have is the ITV1 logo featuring centred in the middle of the wall, with the individual ITV regional station logo's flashing up on the various screens of the videowall, what a perfect solution !!

S'OK, as long as you leave Tyne Tees out of the equation. I may just have to emigrate if they took over 100% control of my region again....

i think central - no doubt they'd come-up with a half decent branding strategy for the channel rather than the mess itv have at the moment. i doubt they'd make the channel as generic, and they probablywould have half decent programmes on too.
