Same basic house redecorated. They did expand the balcony upstairs. Up until this year, the Big Brother house had an angled ceiling above part of the living area. They ripped it out and moved the ceiling up to its actual grid height, 28 feet, and extended this area – the Sky Bridge – out to the wall. Basically its the same house though. Seems to be a California-glam theme this year. Apparently its called "Steel Wave" theme.
.
Overall its just ok. A bit frenetic in my opinion. Frankly I would rather a completely new house or some major structural changes. But CBS is using Big Brother as a cash cow and refuses to budget for a new house. Its a shame. Also the stage/audience set is the same as the last few season. They continue to use the same long time production staff which results in the same crap we see every season on the creative side. They need to inject some new blood into the production staff. I notice now that BBCAN and BBUSA are now using beginning to use the huge large print graphics as wallpaper because its cheaper than affixing things to the wall. BBCAN used oversized gear graphics all over the house, but used the best part of the budget to change major parts of the house so it felt fresh and new. BBUSA refused/cant do that.

Front Door. ehhh
The 2 doors on the left...far left is storage room. the other is the diary room. No change.
Retreat.
Kitchen
Memory Wall - 2 screens next to each other. They display the houseguests face. The face turns grey when they get evicted. You notice there are key slots running down the sides of the screen. These keys are used for the nomination ceremony.
Bathroom - This is exact the same as last year. They only painted the wall and added the blue mirrored stuff to the walls and seating areas and changed the lighting.
BB USA 16 (This was last years bathroom)

Here are 2 of the 3 regular bedrooms. One has a comic book theme. (ugh). They did not reveal the HAVE NOT ROOM. Instead of knocking the walls down and creating 1 huge bedroom they persist with the 3 chopped up bedrooms.
New perspex balcony. This seems to be the only major structural change.
But frankly the little upstairs "chess playing" Never gets used. If it does its very rare. Its a wasted space. And to expand it. Ehhh. But doesnt really add anything to the house. The problem is its literately just outside the HOH bedroom door. No one likes to talk there and strategize there, so it makes not sense to expand it.
HOH Bedroom with new "glass floor".
