Understatement of the year! My thoughts on the new BB eye probably wouldn't get past the TVF swear filter!

Least its an improvement on last year, but there has been better mocks than this for this year, and that is saying something

It's great. Very BB5, London 2012 inspired. Remember, the BB5 eye was released in black, but on air it was red, so it could look different on air.

With the exception of last year, each year Daniel Eatock excels himself and never fails to deliver an eye better than the previous year. Discounting last year, I didn't think he would be able to top the BB7 eye but hes gone and done it!

However, the BB8 eye looked appalling off screen but when it was animated in the adverts it looked fantastic. The same could go for this who don't like it.

I like this design, and hope that in some ways it ties into the upcoming series.
As for last year, I don't think it was the design of the eye that was the problem, it was how the design was implemented, and the past few years (especially last) have proved what can be done through the channel 4 promos, its just a shame that channel 4's designers and endemol don't come up with one brilliant coherant package, and something that moves away from what has become very flat designs from endemol in my personal opinion.

I agree - last year the promos were great, but the way it was used on the show itself was just too obvious and uninspired.


I'm really liking the new eye - one of my favourites on first impressions.

Apparently it turns out Davina isn't leaving after the next series afterall. What a surprise.. usual spin.

Also, why is the title of this thread 'Season 9' not 'Series 9' - are we all Americanised now?
