The irony is that Dale and Stuart say Rachel is boring, but them two were also boring as well!

The difference is Dale and Stu weren't afraid to give their opinions - you wouldn't see Rachel admitting she didn't agree with the winner.

She just held back everything - not just her opinions, but also her emotions too and just coasted through undeservedly. And those praising her now will realise in time what a mistake they made.

Quick question as I've not been watching fully this evening, are any of the housemates from this series missing from the seated area?

Only Alexandra and Dennis. Maysoon was there apparantly, though I completely missed her on the conveyor belt of housemates.

As for Rachel - only one of the ex-housemates (Kat) was happy with the outcome tonight. That says all you need to know.

That they were a very bitter group of people?

Dale in particular seemed to be outraged. Which is ironic considering he was probably one of the worst housemates we had this year.

On T4 yesterday morning STUART had the cheek to say Rachel wasn't a deserving winner because she was boring Laughing Now whether thats true or not, does he really have the right to say that?

And he was so exciting wasnt he!

It was a huge shock that Rachel won, much preferred her over Mikey but given the choice out of the final 7 id have picked Sara.

Oh give over. As if her winning is going to have any major effect on future Big Brother housemates.

I voted for her to win and I'm proud of that. I'd rather vote for someone warm and caring like Rachel than the utterly detestable Dale and Stuart, who were so utterly bitter that they felt it was okay to put a downer on the final night by dismissing the decision to make Rachel the winner.

Agree 100% with you o2, I voted Rachel as well.

Another thing said on T4 that I think is worth throwing in was said by Maysoon, and she said "you don't have to be running around and shouting to be entertaining". Now Maysoon wasn't the most exciting housemate ever but she does have a point. I found Rachel entertaining in small doses. Although she wasn't my first choice to win out of the finalists (that lies with Sara), she was entertaining at times and went through a lot in that house. I also don't think a winner has to be entertaining, but deserving of winning. And if anything, it was a massive f**k you to everyone who said she was fake in the house.

Hang on a minute - was T4 live at some point this weekend then?

Talking of T4, thought it was funny this morning when introducing BBLB that Miquita said how much she'd miss George now it's over - then quickly remember to add "and Zezi" just as the credits were about to roll.

Ultimately of course the winner doesn't matter, but they should at least reflect the series in some form. I was no fan of Darnell and Mikey, but at least they both contributed to the series. It's just typical that when I back the Welsh housemates to win, they don't - and when I don't, it doesn't go my way either. And Helen and Glyn were far better housemates than Rachel by miles.

Don't they do a live sunday show every month?
I know it's to cut costs, but it was better live, well actually it was better when it was produced by Channel 4 and from horseferry road, those were the days.

Infact, thinking about T4, it will be 10 years old come October, I wonder if anything will be planned. It would be nice to see them try and get as many old faces in, would they get Ben, Dermot, Margherita, June and Vernon though?

As for Big Brother, congrats to Rachel, though I must admit that this year I hated the majority of them, and was picking people to win and note get evicted by the ones removing the ones that I didn't like.

I think it's been too long, and still too many housemates. At least with 10-12 you feel like you can get to know the majority of them, with god knows how many they've had for the past few years, you just lose track.

How do you work that one out?

At the end of the day it was just TV show - they will all be forgotten in a fortnight - we have more important things to concentrate on Strictly and X Factor Laughing

Exactly. Another one to file in the bad winners list, but time to move on.

It should be confirmed within the next couple of weeks whether or not Celebrity Big Brother will return. Media Guardian announced it had been given the go ahead a couple of weeks back, but C4 said they were the decision hadn't been made, but would be taken in the next month.

It's a no brainer IMO - and Celebrity Big Brother is far more likely to bring back lost viewers than just a regular season. The trouble is it's beginning to look like C4 are happy enough to kill it off now - which if it truly was tired and in need of putting down would be fair enough, but the truth is it's far more political than that.

However it could be argued that now with the police, OFCOM, NATO, the European Court of Human Rights and the United Nations being called everytime someone dares to say or do something slightly negative which might offend one of the housemates - or one of the viewers who only watch the show to complain about it, it's simply got to the stage where they can't make the programme anymore. And that really would be censorship in action.

I think "undeservedly" is a bit harsh - only insofar as none of them really "deserve" it.

But I largely agree with you that Rachel held back on everything.

I particularly remember the day that she'd taken some really awful needling from Rex and co about her decision to award the cake making contest to Mikey.

She was clearly upset by the comments, and yet went into the diary room and gave "two thumbs up" to Big Brother while choking back tears.

It made a mockery of what the diary room signifies - a place to vent one's spleen and share honest thoughts. Err, like a diary. I suspect she wouldn't be doodling two thumbs up in the pages of her real diary.

Whether this is the way she lives her life I don't know - but as a Big Brother contestant it left me feeling a bit cheated, to be honest.

For once today I believe the Daily Star when they say the producers were not happy at all with the outcome on Friday night, especially of course as they'd "fixed" it for Rex to win! Wink
