They just need to make a statement distancing themselves from the comments that Wendy Richard made and make it clear that she will not be invited back on the show again.

Err, no they don't.

Wendy is one of the best commentators they have. She's acerbic, insightful and very, very funny.

You're no better than those pinheads who complained if you feel the immediate response is to ban Richards for an entirely innocent comment.

No offence.

No offence taken. I agree with you. I am predicting what will happen, not what should happen.

Since when have we worried about saying things that happen to racist in America anyway? Isn't the word 'black' racist in parts of America?

I was correct about the news reporting though. A show on a digital channel which included a comment that some Americans might find racist has several news stories listed on Google News.
"Big Brother" racism

A show on mainstream channel which included several swear words before 9pm doesn't get any coverage according to Google News.

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=GATxbRGZYdc - with the comments/annotations here you'd think she's shot someone.

I think she knew she got herself into a hole and tried to get out of it but made things worse. Perhaps partly due to the era she comes from as well, I'm sure she meant no harm by it.

Yes all those "JESUS CHRIST" annotations are ludicrous.

And for what its worth I completely agree with Wendy's summary of Kat.

When the hell did "oriental" become offensive?

The world's gone mad.

Why, WHY did I click through to a DS forum thread?

"Apparently" greedy Mo is being offered £100K to be the face of Bulmers Cider. "Apparently" they want him to re-enact the 'bogey' scene in a commercial.

Their forum is littered with, "OMG if tru then im soooo happy for him Twisted Evil Razz Arrow " etc. comments.

So much nonsense. As if a premium drinks supplier would want to be associated with some farting, snotter wolfing layabout.

"Apparently" the story appeared in Metro.

It didn't.

They don't half talk a lot of garbage over there.

REPUBLIC OF IRELAND VOTE

Regrettably Channel 4 will not be in a position to open the Republic of Ireland vote for the remainder of this series of Big Brother. Despite extensive work being done to restore the Republic of Ireland vote Channel 4 is still not confident that the issue we encountered with the Belinda v Rex vote will not occur again.

Our apologies for the inconvenience caused to Republic of Ireland voters.

Whats all that about?

*cough* Mikey.

It's going to be. I'm watching on +1 as I didn't even realise it began at 8pm.

Seriously this is the first time where i would of voted for someone i didn't like less than another person, i mean people would vote for someone they could live with in real life or some personality quirk or trait (Nadia's acceptance, Pete's Tourettes etc.) Brian still puzzles me Shocked

I disagree. I think all of the finalists have added something to the show and would all be deserving winners. The only one I really didn't want to see win was Rex but you can't take it away from him that he was a good housemate.

I despised the man, I thought he was horrible however he was a catalyst in the house and it would have been a lot duller without him.
