The schedule for the next couple of weeks:

Wed 27 Aug: 9pm / 11.05pm
Live special in which the housemates will undertake a "shock live task". It's not billed as an eviction and no tickets have been made available, but there are rumours the task could involve one HM leaving.

Tues 2 Sept: 8pm / 10pm
Two hour-long shows, billed as a double eviction.

Fri 5 Sept: 8pm / 11pm
The final, which as usual is badly scheduled by C4, this time to squeeze in Ugly Betty at 9pm. With the double eviction on Tuesday though for the first time since BB6 there should be less than six HMs on the final night.

BBLB has hour-long editions on the Wednesday and Friday of the last week, with an extended Big Mouth on E4 after the finale on Friday, while at the same time C4 show an 8 out of 10 Cats BB special.

The Sun is reporting today that 'Tango Shaun' is to visit the BB House on Sunday to propose to his bloke Lisa.

I appreciate that C4 must be rather desperate to boost the flagging ratings for this series, but I imagine that this stunt will have people turning off rather than tuning in.

I don't think it would do much for Lisa's chances of winning either, as people will be reminded that she comes as one half of a rather irritating couple Confused

Not the wisest of moves. It was obviously planned by them both before entering, but really now any proposal could wait until Lisa's eviction interview.

P.S. Not widely reported at all today, but Media Guardian reported yesterday that C4 have given the go ahead for Celebrity Big Brother in January.

I don't mind seeing Mario go back to propose. Lisa is nuts, but in a good way.

The more interesting bit is watching the loathsome and poisoned Rex and Nicole doing their "angry love/angry hate" thing all round the house. Having her in the show has shown him up to be a contemptible selfish midget with a control problem. Nicole is even worse. I pitied her at first; but I shouldn't have wasted a thought on her.

Grace Dent's commentary on the C4 website is as insightful as it is hysterical.

I'm looking forward to seeing Nicole getting thrown to the wolves tonight. I'll be interested to see how Rex reacts to this as well. He's been a total d!ck to the rest of the house for weeks.

Apparently Nicole and Papa are going to be removed from the house for bullying Mikey. (this is probably 99% untrue however, ala Daily Star)

Thats of course if Nicole doesn't get evicted tonight which she should do.

Total d!ck perhaps, but he's completely carried the show over the last few weeks.

The source is good enough reason to doubt the story. Although 'Rexicole' has been a pain over the last few weeks, on his own Rex is quite amusing. Following her (almost assured) departure this evening he might revert to his normal self.

There was certainly no bullying I could see; if there was, it was engineered by Mikey, who has been playing on his disability for 12 weeks. The 'PC' sympathy attitude has kept him in there long past his sell-by date.

Being blind doesn't mean you can be rude or have the eating manners of a two-year old. I have blind friends, they are disgusted by the way he behaves and can't understand when I explain that he ends up with food smeared all over his face when he eats!

I agree, just the other night he was licking butter off his toast like a toddler.

With Stu and Dale gone, it seems there are no "likely" winners so no ideas as to who will win this series. I think it looks like Mikey may win on the 'PC' appeal however.

I do hope not!

How can either of you say that he's been "playing up" his disability? That's so much nonsense.

He gets stuck in to all the tasks, despite Rex and Nicole's best efforts to exclude him.

Table manners are a difficult thing for a blind person to be aware of. So what if he licks his toast? Look away if you want to. Personally I didn't like seeing him licking peanut butter off a knife, but that's not a reason to condemn him.

His nasal weegie drone does make me shudder, but he speaks a lot of sense, and seems to be one of the few who proffers an honest opinion. Only now are we seeing Kat say how much she dislikes the behaviour of some of the housemates. Good god - how long has that been needed saying?

Rex was amusing at first. I liked him. I liked how he adored his girlfriend and spoke highly of her.

Then I see how he behaves with her and towards her. It turned my stomach.

Mikey has never been a favourite of mine, but he's a decent bloke.

The guy was 23 when he lost his sight. I assume he'd mastered basic table manners by then, so being blind isn't even an excuse, it's just downright uncouth and inconsiderate when other people are watching.

I have blind friends who don't eat like that, and one of them was blind from birth. Mikey does actually know from seeing how other people behave at the table, so he has that advantage as an adult, presumably.

The 'Rexicole' experience has been bad TV, I agree. I think you are wrong in believing that Rex is controlling though: many of the live feeds I've seen show Nicole as the dominant partner. Rex would basically do anything for her, and she knows it!
