Davina's just announced on BBLB that there is "something different" about tonight's eviction programme, which will be revealed when she first talks to the house.
Perhaps the fiasco of opening the eviction lines late and closing them a day early hasn't been enough to save this year's
"Producers' Favourite"
(Weasly-Wuke) and they have come up with some scheme to keep him in despite a suspected overwhelming public vote.
Another "house next door" scam, or put straight back in for another vote next week? When will they realise that "favoured status" is the kiss of death for any HM. It certainly didn't help Nikki Graham, although she continues to haunt viewers with TV appearances, presumably to entertain the under-5s.
Yeah, it annoyed me when Nikki went back in. If they're doing something similar with Bex then it's a cop out. Perhaps housemates have to choose one person who they want back in or something - then they do a swap with the HM with the highest eviction vote count.
Nothing really explains the vote closing last night though.
It's just baffling - no reason at all why they couldn't have kept them open until 9pm at least.
Perhaps they've spent the day cloning Luke or something then? Though he's the clear favourite to go, I still think this week's eviction is wide open - but the result being known hours before hand takes away alot of the buzz.

The excuse given for the late start was "lack of staff to man the phones", which of course nobody believed. It's a computerised system with the same staff for 2 voting lines or 200, not Crimewatch or ChildLine.

Cloning Luke, what a horrifying task for any scientist .
Doing anything which effectively overturns this or a previous eviction will just be a slap in the face for those who voted and probably spell the end of the programme this time. C4 can't really afford to lose credibility when they've got the begging bowl out for licence fee money.
Its probably just more practical not to make 8 best bits and write 8 interviews with interview vt's.
But if Luke isn't evicted tonight, if anyone here visits DSBB all I can say is brace yourself. Fix is going to be thrown around allover the place.
Davina said on BBLB that tonights show will run a little differently and "the housemates are in for a shock when I first talk to the house"- to quote. Make from that what you will.
I honestly believe people are reading far too much into both things and shes either going to talk to the house from outside or shes going to announce who is safe (in no particular order obviously). I don't think there is going to be any silly HND gimmick but if there is it will definitely be tonight, but I doubt it strongly. People throwing around the accusation of "closing the phone lines early to save their favourites" need to think again. Unless they were well aware of what the outcome would be then thats made redundant by the fact lines were always closing at this time from when they opened.

But many people don't religiously watch the highlights every night and don't bother voting until Friday, while they are watching the latest highlights. They would've been unaware that voting had already ended until 9pm tonight. I haven't voted for years, since all the 'fake evictions/in-out-in-out/HND' shenanigans, but I always left my voting until eviction night.
Whatever the reason for closing the vote lines early I doubt it's "administrative". It's exceptionally bad planning if that is the case and I presume heads would roll for such sloppiness!

Maybe it
is
bad planning. After all, your head
is
rolling. Why are you looking for a conspiracy?

My head isn't rolling, Juggy. Bad planning is a poor excuse when you are running an operation like BB where the main feature is a weekly telephone vote. It's like Eurovision turning round and saying they 'forgot' to book the phone lines for that week.
It was obviously a publicity stunt to encourage speculation. The eviction is rather predictable this week as they have been throughout this series. The *TWIST* is they are dragging it out over the whole hour, saying (in no particular order) who has been saved at regular intervals. Rex gets his oft-mentioned girlfriend as a new HM to replace the vanishing Maysoon.
