I think they tried to cover it by letting Dennis have his say in the Diary room before he went which I don't think they did with Alex - they just demanded it was rule breaking and that she leave.

I'm probably totally wrong though.

I was joking, of course, with the "cos he ain't black" bit, but Alex was given ample airspace both in the Diary Room and with Davina to ply her defence to the nation.

I was no fan of Dennis. What he did was wrong; but I am lost as to why C4/Endemol have treated his departure differently to some others. Perhaps he made no further grovelling comments in the Diary Room, or wished not to be on national TV begging for redemption. I think they should've mentioned that though, if it was the case.

He'll probably get interviewed on BBLB on Sunday, as firstly George and Zezi won't be terrified of him, and secondly they didn't need to pad out an eviction show last night with an extra interview.

And quite simply too I think people are far less interested in what Dennis might have to say than with Alex.

And yes, most ridiculous fight ever - with ironically Rex and Jennifer remaining on the sidelines as everyone else gets in trouble. And Sylvia too remained calm throughout and did nothing wrong in that argument - so of course she gets voted out - with 90.2% of the vote, second only to Sezer's 91.6%.

Best episode though for a number of years - and all linked back to a number of storylines which had been quietly brewing over the last couple of weeks, notably the Dale/Jen/Stu situation, Dale vs Rex and the house hatred of Mohammed.

Last nights show rated at 3.8m which is its best overnight figures without Channel 4+1 and barring launch since the series began. 2.4m also watched Sylvia's eviction however the actual show should have rated closer to 3m because Channel 4 ended the show a good 10 minutes before the next programme started.

It will be interesting to see the figures with +1. I wonder if Channel4+1 has beaten its all time record again just over a week after the previous record was set? Probably not but I'd expect it to come close.

Hopefully it can hold on to some of the viewers over the weekend as we see the aftermath of "fight night 2" and Dennis's ejection. This series has been really good and it definitely deserves more viewers. Its just a shame its had to follow on from CBB5 and BB8 which both damaged the brand (and to some extent BBCH).

Not spectacular, but they won the slot.

The second show though is really suffering from being at 10.35pm - not only getting thrashed by Jonathan Ross, but as you say the last few minutes - when the show has actually finished - the ratings drop significantly (to 700,000), which really brings down the average.

Some schedule changes on E4 from 7th July. They're not showing enough episodes of Friends apparently, so the 6pm repeat (which has been rating relatively well) is moved to 1.20pm, slashing an hour off the afternoon live streaming.

BBLB is moved to 6pm, with extra Friends at 6.25pm and 7.30pm.

I'm not a fan but Friends is forever on E4 and considering it finished about 3 or 4 years ago clearly it still brings in the viewers.

Anyway, it appears Dennis is to be questioned by police regarding the spitting incident...

Give me strength! Forget knife crime, forget violence on the streets, forget burglaries, forget rapists, murderers... lets investigate some guy who spat on TV. Mad I suppose the painting will have to go in as evidence on the same desk as Pete Burns' coat was.

(sorry for bringing politics into this)

You're so damn right though. Unless Mohammed makes a complaint himself, there is no issue.

With those changes there is a slight schedule change on Channel 4. On Friday night, the second eviction show will take place from 10.35pm but end at 11.05pm instead of 11.10pm. Last week the show rated better with just a half hour slot so hopefully its a sign of whats to come, but I do feel it would work better as a 75 minute show.

Apparently Dennis had the cheek to offer an apology at the cost of £1000 to the Daily Record, which they politely refused Laughing Instead he got £900 off The Sun. What a cheek!!! Rolling Eyes

Well imagine what Heat Magazine would have offered - £800 and a headline like ''It was moist, slimey and I'd do it again!''

I heard on the radio this afternoon that C4 are considering pulling the plug early on this series of BB due to the complaints of violence, bullying and racial tension.

And I'm not making that up! Still, it's not as if we haven't heard it all before.

It was reported in the Daily Star today, so the chance of it happening must be very little.
