Also very impressed with Jack Whitehall. When I watched the trailer I was like 'who the hell are you?!' but when i watched the programme i thought he was very good and quick-witted. What else has he done?

Nothing TV wise - he seems pretty rated as a stand up comic, but really is only just starting out.

Interesting to watch, if only to see how much the show has changed. Whilst a bit dull it did provide more 'behind the scenes', whereas the current format does seem to be more a 'daytime Big Mouth'.

Does anyone know what the ratings for this series are like so far?

Inside Big Brother: Ratings

Very comprehensive guide here

Get a clearer picture by the end of the week, but they're holding up pretty well, relatively speaking.

(C4+1 figures in brackets)
Thursday: 5.2m (+142,300)
Friday: 3.5m (+300,000)
Saturday: 2.4m (+500,000)
Sunday: 3.2m (+311,000)

There is always a dip on Saturday nights, and the last Saturday highlights show in BB7 got 2.65m. Sundays shows last year averaged 3.2m - and although BB8 was the lowest rated of the lot, ultimately this series will only have to better last year to be considered a ratings success.

And when you consider the big BBC/ITV 9pm dramas only get 4-5m nowadays, the figures are pretty good - and the first week of BB usually struggles to reach the 4m mark anyhow.

Funniest bit of yesterday's BBLB was when Lambie was supposed to give out the BBLB web address and started with "www.bbc.co.uk"

BBLB was much better tonight - Zezi was almost bearable.

Dermot O'Leary - still with that "fresh from T4" face. Great days. I think Avid Merrion (Leigh Francis) was born from this show IIRC.

Anyway, not a bad start to the show with the wedding task although - as if anyone would believe a wedding would happen just like that and in the BB house. But at least it's not just been a bunch of people just "getting on" with eachother for the past few days...they seem to have got the method right so far but time will tell.

I hate Alexandra - what an arrogant stirrer.

I couldn't agree more! She's a nasty piece of work.
