I couldn't see a thread for this so... BB is nearly back!

Today Inside Big Brother printed some rumours:

"Firstly, it’s said the launch will be on Thursday 22nd May 2008 at 8pm - this, actually, is roughly aligned with what our own informant (who has been very reliable in the past) said.
The show will air Monday to Thursday at 10pm for 50 minutes apparently, with a 9pm showing from Friday to Sunday. Now, this doesn’t seem to agree so much with the Channel 4 word that the timeslot will switch between 9 and 10, though it could still be true as strictly speaking it still would switch between 9 and 10pm here.
The series length is 93 days, apparently, which fits with the 13 week malarkey, and 16 housemates will apparently enter on launch night. The Little Brother hosts will be Steve Jones and Caroline Flack, allegedly, not Konnie Huq or Miquita Oliver as rumoured. Guest presenters will present Big Mouth."

But most interestingly, "Apparently, the public vote will adopt the Australian system, voting to save and evict, and at least 3 housemates will face eviction each week." and "Also, the prize fund has apparently been increased to £250,000. Also, personal banks are included for housemates to win “up to” £10,000. Group rule breaks will result in the overall prize fund dropping; personal or individual ones in the personal bank funds dropping."

And most happily: "For evictions, there will be a new outside studio as well as an indoor one for interviews. Friends and family pleas will return to the live evictions, taken from BBLB."

-- The end of the boos?

This is make-or-break series for Big Brother. Either it's good and it survives or it's sh*te and it dies. End of

I think the bosses know its make or break, and that's why they may be making massive changes this year. We already know for certain, from the Channel 4 Forums, that the house will be bigger than BB8's, which is promising.

Big Brother Australia is also undergoing a massive relaunch aswell, new logo, presenters, house..etc. that will also be interesting. It usually launches sometime in April

What happened to the rumours about leaving Elstre?

Most of them rumours are probably rubbish considering they contradict stuff "revealed" by Inside Big Brother just a few days ago - and indeed contradict the little information leaked so far by C4 and Endemol.

As for the voting system - back in January in the Q&A they were pretty firm they wouldn't be adopting that and that is would be remaining "Vote to Evict" - which it should IMO.

The combined system hasn't impacted on the Australian series at all - the controversial HMs still get booted out at the first opportunity, while the quiet ones stick around till near the end.

They don't contradict public information. Channel 4 have already stated that it will be 13 weeks and will switch between 9pm and 10pm. The only rumour that is contradicted is the one about the BBLB hosts, but even then Caroline and Steve have been rumoured.

With voting at an all time low in the UK and with no public trust in broadcasters, I strongly doubt they will ditch vote to evict in favour of the Australian system that requires more votes and voters.

Still, I'm 99.9% certain that the rumours are false but thats all part of the build up Very Happy

They're only rumours. Where's the harm in a bit of speculation? It's part of the fun.

Oh, no harm at all. I just hate it how it's always the "bad" rumours that seem to come true - and it's the things that look promising that never make it to the show itself.

It is obviously a con because Summer is during July & August and Trick or Treat is related to Halloween which is in October. Also I have seen that eye before and I know it is fake.
