I couldn't see a thread for this so... BB is nearly back!
Today Inside Big Brother printed some rumours:
"Firstly, it’s said the launch will be on Thursday 22nd May 2008 at 8pm - this, actually, is roughly aligned with what our own informant (who has been very reliable in the past) said.
The show will air Monday to Thursday at 10pm for 50 minutes apparently, with a 9pm showing from Friday to Sunday. Now, this doesn’t seem to agree so much with the Channel 4 word that the timeslot will switch between 9 and 10, though it could still be true as strictly speaking it still would switch between 9 and 10pm here.
The series length is 93 days, apparently, which fits with the 13 week malarkey, and 16 housemates will apparently enter on launch night. The Little Brother hosts will be Steve Jones and Caroline Flack, allegedly, not Konnie Huq or Miquita Oliver as rumoured. Guest presenters will present Big Mouth."
But most interestingly, "Apparently, the public vote will adopt the Australian system, voting to save and evict, and at least 3 housemates will face eviction each week." and "Also, the prize fund has apparently been increased to £250,000. Also, personal banks are included for housemates to win “up to” £10,000. Group rule breaks will result in the overall prize fund dropping; personal or individual ones in the personal bank funds dropping."
And most happily: "For evictions, there will be a new outside studio as well as an indoor one for interviews. Friends and family pleas will return to the live evictions, taken from BBLB."
-- The end of the boos?
This is make-or-break series for Big Brother. Either it's good and it survives or it's sh*te and it dies. End of
