To think ITV wanted it so bad in 2006 they outbid C4, forcing them to pay more, and yet by 2009 they didn't want to touch it with a barge pole.

I'm surprised nobody's suggested ITVBe as a potential new home.

I was thinking it earlier but thought it might be a bit too skewed towards females.

ITV just don't need it whilst Love Island is so strong.

I imagine it's too expensive for ITVBe as well.

Hmmm... it's a bit like putting Big Brother on E! - slightly different audience that loves their structural reality 'Real Housewives' type shows.

Love Island is not all year round though, and BB is really cheap and generates a lot of content.

It makes you think though, what makes I'm A Celeb so popular compared to Celeb BB?

Ant & Dec, the location, the challenges, the fact it's only once a year and it being on ITV? There's a lot less drama in your average series of I'm A Celeb, it's a much lighter watch than BB.

Just buy in Big Brother Canada. Problem solved. LOL

I love the big bold graphics. It really feels like a new era.

As of right now ITV & Channel 4 have confirmed they will not be bidding for Big Brother. Endemol have been approached by several broadcasters and online media platforms about BB, non have made a formal offer yet.
