An error of whose judgement? Brilliant timing to launch Jeremy Vine with a scoop like that.

Quite interesting that Jeremy Vine chose to re-tweet a strongly worded comment by former CBB winner and Coronation Street actress Denise Welch which said.....

"Absolutely disgraceful. I’m appalled that someone like @theJeremyVine who admire so much would agree to this booking."

Now why would he do that? Sounds as if he was less than thrilled to be told to interview her. Infact he disagreed with it.

Slightly ironic that that Metro article was plastered with JV adverts

Well if he didn't like interviewing her then he's not going to last long in the job.

Emma was fantastic interviewing Roxanne tonight. She's trending on Twitter as well with massive praise from everyone and rightly so.

Removing the earpiece with Roxanne crying and just saying "Thanks everyone" was a proper and classic TV moment.

I wonder what Channel 5 are thinking after this. Before the series started there were articles saying the show had had its day, they were thinking of axing it, people who watched it are now watching Love Island etc… then they start a series with the biggest controversy the show has had in years. All publicity is good publicity?

The problem is for some reason the controller Ben Frow hates it, he will do anything he can to kill it.

If the controller does hate Big Brother then I can't blame him. The show occasionally seems to be walking a tightrope between getting ratings the station can only dream of and a career-ending disaster for a producer. Or, frankly, worse.

I may be naive, but I struggle with the idea that someone is just straight out evil or, in a correct mindset, capable of the reaction Roxanne gave to what happened. Therefore, I have to question the psychological analysis that was done before the housemates went in. They've been playing with fire with the eye of the storm theme this series and, to be honest, they're lucky the worst they've got is a dodgy assault claim and a footballer living up to all the old stereotypes.

CBB basically threw Roxanne under the bus last night to basically go "look, look at her, isn't she terrible?" and hide their own complicity in what's been going on. Whatever you think of her behaviour, the pitchforks and fire mentality on social media has been toxic and the impact on Ryan must have been devastating.

If they don't seriously re-evaluate the show at the end of this season they're in danger of something truly tragic happening.

I thought it was an interesting interview. For me Roxanne came across as, "oh bugger I'm not showing any remorse here I need to start crying." So she starts doing that - and as a trained actress making yourself cry is part of your job description so it's not hard - and what we see from Emma is basically a mic drop.

I thought Emma handled it really well. I don't know if Davina interviewed Jade Goody (or Jo O' Mera whose early solo career was finished) after the 2007 controversies in a similar fashion, but she could be more sympathetic. Emma was keeping a very professional distance. Good on her. She did well.
