Has anyone noticed how accurate the supercasino adverts are? Albeit, they are vastly irritating they seem to be relating to the going ons of that day. For example tonight's were talking about England playing in the world cup. I get that the world cup isn't breaking news and was always going to happen but it just seems strange some of the things SuperCass was saying. The quality is horrendous does anyone think maybe they are recorded on day to day or something similar to this?

Has anyone else noticed how Emma refers to Marcus Bently on the show as Marcus Bently? Now, of course that is his name but up until last week he had always been the narrator or big brother and I personally don't like that he is now introduced - unlike previous series when it would just cut to him giving you the terms and conditions. Is it just me or does everyone else feel he should remain "anonymous"?

I'm not sure Marcus has ever been referred to as 'Big Brother', as that's a different role in the programme all together. Marcus isn't anonymous, he's appeared in trails for the show, in the house no doubt on BBLB etc numorous times and has names always been in credits.

I didn't realise that Marcus had read T+C's in the show until last weeks eviction. Thought it was a change. I like how she referred to him instead of him taking over, thought it felt more team like rather than just cutting Emma. I would prefer it if they cut these bits out though! Don't like Marcus having such a large role. C5 seem to think everyone loves him, and yes he's iconic but his role has definitely become over inflated!

Hence the reason I put anonymous in inverted commas. I understand he isn't anonymous and he shouldn't be he is the (the voice of) big brother shall we say - he is one of the things we associate with the show. Nevertheless I like that his role is explicit when the show is on - it's nicer I think. I just think that it's a bit silly that Emma refers to him after all this time.

Yeah I suppose it is more team like but I personally think that when he reads out the t&c's without being introduced it flows better. I actually really like Marcus but there is something different with his voice this year that I can't put my finger on.

During his appearances on BBLB wasn't he always presented in silhouette? Or did they drop that for later series?

I remember him featuring on something like a show called The Big Breakfast you might remember, or it might have been the early days of RI:SE. I'm sure his face must have featured on Big Brother spin off shows plenty of times over the years and he went in the house on the final series and was featured on trail. I don't think it's ever really been a big mystery of the show like 'The Stig' or the 'The Banker' anyway.

I think you are right about the silhouette but it might have been dropped. I'm not saying he is like the stig or the banker but what I mean is that you associate his voice and not his face with the show. All I'm saying is I think it's better that she doesn't call him "the lovely Marcus" or "Mr Bently" I truly love Emma but I think it sounds silly. It's like Peter Dickson Dermot O'Leary doesn't say "and now over to Peter to introduce our celebrity guest". They are both announcers and don't need that sort of introduction - they should be credited just not live in the show but in the end credits which they are.
