According to the Daily Star - Big Brother's "OFFICIAL" newspaper - CBB has been axed....

Big front page headline!

Shame if it's true!

As you've said this is from the Daily Star, they printed this sort of rubbish every day on there front page during the summer BB!

And according to the Daily Star the celebrity hijackers were going in the house too...

Absolute rubbish... though to be honest ATM I'd rather have more experimental spin-offs like Hijacker than another Celeb BB.

I doubt any decision on Celeb BB will be made until well into BB9 - and they'd be completely right to be concentrating on the main series. Celebrity BB really works best as an occasional spin-off every 2-3 years, not an annual affair.

Celebrity Hijack is doing well enough for E4 - though I think they'd like to be breaking through the million mark though.

More importantly though the people watching are really enjoying the show for the first time in a good couple of years really and the feedback on this series has been pretty much overwhelmingly positive.

UPDATE: BB has rubbished the Daily Star's nonsense once again:

Just as I thought, it's good BB has a blog now.

Knowing the Daily Star they'll persist with the story for a couple of days and then claim "Victory" in reporting it's not been axed.

Dermot just gave a blatant hint after interviewing George Lamb that he was the new BBLB presenter - but it seemed to blatant to actually be true.

They just about got everything right for tonight's eviction - not only the right result, however much they tried to screw Victor over, but also the return of eviction music to drown out the crowd, some nice split screen graphics and Dermot not announcing himself as Davina to the house.

He lacked in the main interview though, but was better when he got out of his seat and let the audience ask the questions instead.

Shame it was raining. Part of me did not want Jade to go, but i guess its the right thing, as we'll hopefully discover over the coming week. I liked Dermot getting up to ask the audience questions nice touch, but i couldnt help mutter to myself that only Davina (for me) is the person who can do BB interviews. It did seem to me tried to be like her, or maybe i was reading too much into it.

Final nail in BBs coffin methinks.
