LOL - me too. Looking forward to this playing out on the eviction show far more than the pathetic show that's broadcast under the Big Brother banner here.
That eviction is going to be brilliant. IMO BBUK is still trying for their documentary-esque feel to the show. Where as BBCAN/BBUS is going for the obvious blatant reality competition show. Ratings have been stable over the 15 years. So much so that it remains on CBS and there is a slight increase in the episode count for the past few seasons (about 35-40). BBUK and BBUS are exactly the same age (BBUSA though being a few days older than BBUK) but BBUS has certainly found a sustainable model that works and hasnt experienced the steady ratings drop that BBUK (Yes the cancellation and channel swap certainly contributed to that). The US has had competition from GLASS HOUSE and UTOPIA, neither really worked.
I just hope that BBUK can find a model that will keep it from getting cancelled again. IMO they need to limit the number of series. Get rid of the celeb edition and the 70+ episodes per series is far too many. The episodes are too frequent and its far more difficult to edit together with any "substance". Not much can happen in that short a time of span. I guess its a case of diluting the product so much it loses its flavour. And of course IMO the format itself needs some massive help. It has stagnated. The ratings avg high was 5.8 now they are around 1.6 avg for last years series on Ch5. Oh and bring back the live feeds. Global Canada has offered them free for their 1st 3 series. They simply drop in regular ads during the live stream. CBS makes people pay. Ive never paid and I never will. Just my opinions.
Big Brother Canada 3 has been creatively on fire. The latest twist is the remaining 3 houseguests get to pick one person of the 10 member jury they want to evict from the jury, bringing the final jury to 9 members. The evitcted jury member wont know until Finale night their vote doesnt count. Super brilliant.
Well BBCAN in the can on to BB USA 17.
Lets hope Exec Producer Allison Grodner shakes up formula this year. Im not holding my breath. I expect the house to have its typical wall paper and paint. Seeing as CBS refuses to update the house. The last big thing was installing new cameras. Something tells me that probably will prevent any structural changes for years to come. So annoying. It think the best thing they can do is combine the 3 small bedrooms into one big room. The current lay is sooo awful.

Big Brother Canada giving a masterclass in how to produce a finale. Perfect from start to finish and the BBUK producers should look at it and hang their head in shame.
Totally agree. It was very very very good. Yeah some of the retrospectives dragged a bit. But the final HOH competitions sets were artistic masterpieces. The 1st part of the HOH looked fantastic. The special effects, lighting.... Everything. I was very impressed.

Im still wondering how they did those special effects lighting up the podiums. Likely projectors of some sort. It was very well done.

Even Arrissa's wrap-up at the beginning of the show from the backyard was well produced. OVer all the show was simply well produced. Totally shaming the formulaic BB USA.
