I was referring to the size of the DOG. I know I won't be watching E4 this week because the DOG is so big, unless they have changed it since last night, that I will not watch the channel until the DOG is gone. I don't mind other E4 DOGs where they other the writing on the left hand size but this DOG is a big bi*ch of a DOG!

Calm down, Russ, you don't want to burst a blood vessel.
I was only commenting on why E4 would go to town on advertising BB. That said, I don't have E4, so have no idea what the dog looks like and am quite prepared to accept that its bark is way too much.

Sorry if it sounds like my bite about the DOG's is a bit too much but I don't mind DOG's too much as long as they are not too noticeable on the eye but this one is huge! Perhaps if one of the TV Forum people with Capture capabilities wouldn't mind doing the honours to see what I'm on about. (I bet it's not there now!)

Im not sure having the show on every year until 2008 is a good idea - most people will be sick of the show after a few more series.

I do think the show should take a break for one year after a few years - it would protect it's long term future, although another channel might attempt to launch their own summer reality show, capture the viewers and media coverage and then trounce Big Brother the following year.

Details of S4C's Launch night coverage:

The first show is from 9.00-10.05pm, and then follows C4 schedule with a second show at 10.40pm and live coverage at 12.25am.

Also, as Boys and Girls didn't have one "winner" this week there is no need for Boys and Girls Friday, which is scheduled at 11.50pm.

Have you seen the latest promos, with 4 Days to Go on. Begin with a shot of the house, then the eye logo, which moves out of show leaving a black/grey striped screen with the 4 logo and Big Brother details on. Very nice.

I have to say, after 3 seasons of shoddy commitment and poor scheduling [even though programmes were usually after the main block of Welsh programming] S4C~ seem to have got their act together for Big Brother this year.

In the first two series only *one* programme was EVER live, that was the BB2 final -- none of the other live shows were shown as such, despite the "LIVE" lies on screen. Although I've always had C4 it's still annoying.

But with exception of the opening programme which is half an hour later than C4 [and for some reason the second programme of the night is 35mins longer], all week S4C~ have pulled off the coup of showing BB every night at 10pm like C4 *shock*, and are managing late repeats and Live programmes as well. Meaning things Davina/the C4 anno says make sense for Wales too, and a "Lines Closed" strap won't be on-screen all the time..

And S4C~ are also carrying Big Brother's Little Brother for the first time, daily at 6pm, again like C4 -- now that S4C~ have freed the 6-7 slot from Welsh language commitments [only one half hour programme needs to be Welsh].

Even next Friday's live programme is simulcast at 2030, although there probably still will be shocking cuts away from Network C4 [even though it never happens any time else] -- anyone with the choice certainly won't bother with S4C~. I think they realise they're not really needed for much longer and are trying to keep some viewers while *some* still don't have C4.

I certainly never bother watching S4C~ for Big Brother - I dont watch S4C~ for any english progs - I did used to like to see Brookie at 10pm but now I see it on C4 on Saturdays.

I have to say I am looking forward to Big Brother although I dont think i'll bother with BBLB this year as its mostly crap.

I wonder if the people in todays Sun are the real housemates?

Well, if that is/was them, then it won't be now as the rules state if and BB contenstant gets identified in the press, they can't go in.

I have to admit, I'm getting pretty tired of the format now. I've watched and loved it for the past 3 series, but it's just getting boring now. I kinda agree with whoever said it should take a break for a year.

Some rumours around today including a hidden bar and an eviction in the 10.40pm show.

I hope there isn't an eviction tonight. It's not really fair that someone gets a couple of hours in the house, and I'd hope BB has other things up its sleeve than Surprise Evictions, because frankly, they are not surprises any more.

I think nominations are most likely.

Also, an interesting article on the official website regarding possibilities already used around the world: http://www.channel4.com/bigbrother/news/newsstory.jsp?id=1122

Also, anyone see The Curse of Big Brother on Five last night. It actually wasn't really housemates slagging off the show - just a critical view of the series which included many highlights of the series, and included nothing Endemol wouldn't tell potential housemates in the "Talk of doom" before they enter the house.

A great quote from Bubble - "Big Brother is not a reality TV show - it is THE reality TV show".

Completely true!
