PS: Anyone got a good map of last years UK house, and any other houses from around the world.

I drew this one in Paint last year and I think it's been on a couple of websites since.

Just thought I'd post a capture of the Big Brother break bumper I managed to catch earlier this evening on Channel 4 [seeing as others missed it] ~

With it still being three weeks away, it's a bit early to start them isn't it? Usually they start them on the week leading up to the Friday or whatever..

Ooo. now that looks good! (Sorry to post twice at the same time!)

You're forgetting that most of the cameras inside the house
are merely CCTV-type ones, which aren't capable of braod-
casting in widescreen.

No, I disagree. Only a handful of the cameras in the BIG Brother House are of the CCTV variety. Don't
forget, they have full sized studio cameras in the so called "camera run", positioned behind the 2-way
mirrors. These cameras will be more than capable of recording and transmitting pictures in 16:9, and
so too are the cameras in the main BIG Brother studio. Overall, they'll have more proper TV cameras
than the smaller CCTV cameras, so I see little excuse for BB4 to be transmitted only in 4:3 format.

Indeed, plus of course Fame Academy was in 16:9. I know it was a different set up with people actually in the rooms filming and "Pinky and Perky" behind the mirrors but still, with C4 being one of the pioeers of widescreen you'd think...

Anyways will we be being robbed by channel4.com to watch it again? It's just not right, C4 is public service for gods sake.

I miss the original website at www.bigborther.terra.com which was much better than the ones at c4.com. Although as BB4 is to be closer to BB1-BB2 maybe the site will be better.

Thanks for the houseplan, although I think the furniture is not quite to scale.

Anyway, from that you can see quite a bit of room around Bedroom 2 which could easily be rearranged to have a Head of Household style room and other accessories such as a sauna e.t.c.

Arrow Golf buggy evictions - a getaway car for housemates leaving for the studio

Won't that look good - the long, pointless staircase, followed by a ride on a short piece of tarmac via a getaway golf buggy. Again, pointless.

Hear, hear!
Could'nt agree with you more...
It's a total waste of TV space.

Back to the Aussie version - two house - six beds in each.

By the end of week 1, 7 people had moved into each house, and earlier this week the first nominations took place.

In previous series, the Aussie version used a two-tier nomination system. Like the UK version, each housemate nominates two others, but their first choice nomination had 2 points, and their other 1 point. Those with the most points are nominated.

This year, that system has been kept, but now housemates also make two nominations for who they want to stay. The 2 most unpopular housemates from each house are nominated.

All this golf buggy nonsense - evictions were better from the old house.

The lovely swooping shots on the crane with the bridge over the river and fireworks.

At least it was something than a walk down one side of crowds shouting obscenities and breaking security Smile

I've noticed people are saying that the purple room is 'bedroom 2' but it's a totally different shape to any of the bedrooms. It must have been relocated in the house of the walls have been moved and altered - space for something else?

Everything has actually been moved around. The house is 1/3 smaller than last year. From what I've read, I think it's been made more like the old house this year - cosy, with the diary room leading straight from the lounge area. The bedrooms are now next to each other.

I think during the last Celebrity Big Brother when the evictions were done out of the garden and down the side of the house looked a bit better, as it did have the sense of the walkway out of the house before returning to the outside world.

I think the style of evictions will depend which studio they use - the one they used for Celeb Big Brother was slightly further away than the one used for Series 3.
