BREAKING NEWS: EVICTIONS ON SUNDAY

Various listings website are indicating their will be AT LEAST one eviction on SUNDAY, fronted by Dermot O'Leary.

See Digital Spy for more info, but I'm guessing it's possible new housemates could be sent in tonight or tomorrow, with evictions on Sunday.

Digital Spy has now pulled the story and the general concencus is that the Sunday listings were just Friday's for BBLB repeated. Apparantly various websites have done this every week.

Dermot did say at the end of LBBB on Channel 4 tonight "tune in to BBLB at 1.05pm on Sunday for a "revolutionary" BB programme.

Tania went then. Apparently one OR two new housemates will enter over the weekend

What if . . .

. . . the eviction vote resulted in a tie between two eviction nominees? It's unlikely I know, but not impossible.
How would the BIG Bro production team handle such a "tie-break" situation? Would they re-open the phone
lines and asks people to vote again? In which case, how exactly would that affect the actual eviction show
that takes place at 22:00? Would they have to postpone the eviction until Saturday evening. If so, would
they do the eviction on Saturday night at 21:00 ,as well as, or instead of the live challenge?

Good question. I guess the first step would be too look at the number of nominations received this week.

If they were equal, the number of nominations received over the series.

And if still equal, they would have to reopen the phone lines. It wouldn't be so bad in a 3-way vote as they could close the line with the least votes enabling people to recast their vote. Although I'm sure they would have time to open and close the lines during the 8.30pm programme, they could inform the nominees that they have one hour to pack and then reveal the result at 10pm, giving the evictee 1minute to say their goodbyes etc.

Also, a suggestion for what the revolutionary thing on BBLB might be.

With six "housemates" left in the house, on Sunday, 6 new "intruders" will enter the house - 3 boys and 3 girls.

From Monday to Friday on BBLB one of these intruders will be evicted each day in the following way:
Arrow At the beginning of the week each Intruder is paired with a housemate.
Arrow Everyday they compete in their pairs in a daily task which sees one winning pair.
Arrow The winning Intruder must nominate two other intruders for eviction.
Arrow The housemates (the original 6) then choose which one they want to evict. In event of a tie, the winning housemate (from the daily task) gets the casting vote.
Arrow On Friday when just 2 Intruders remain all six original housemates go head to head in a task, with the winner deciding which of the Intruders stays in the house.

The one intruder left on Friday remains in the house, while this weeks nominations are scrapped with all six original housemates facing the public vote (hence Cameron can't be nominated by other housemates - but can still be evicted) and one of them evicted in the Friday night shows with Davina.

It looks as if Big Brother Africa is set to continue it's run on E4.

BB Africa rocks the UK!

After the UK-Africa Housemate swap last week, Big Brother Africa had an unexpectedly great response. UK viewers got a taste of BB Africa and have fallen in love with it, and with Gaetano, the BB Africa ambassador to the UK. During their satellite linkup, even the UK Housemates seemed to like the BBA crowd. (UK Housemate Ray's parting message for Cherise was 'tell her she has a nice pair'!)

Channel 4 of the UK was so impressed by the BB Africa Show that they have decided to air the Daily Show for a week as a trial run. This is a feather in the cap of BB Africa, but also for Africa in general. The African Housemates made an impression without trying too hard. Bravo!

In the result of a tie between two housemates I bet the producers would just evict who they wanted to leave - I reackon they have fixed it on a few occasions.

So, there's a new housemate, 35 year old Lisa, from Wales.

Well, she's orange...and there's something weird about her, if you ask me.

Wasn't there just something really weird about tonight on the whole? The task involving drawing straws, all of which turned out to be long, so they all got to go into the reward room, where Lisa was, with her suitcase and some pizza, beer and champagne. The reward room itself was completely bare, except for a plastic chair for Lisa to sit on.

I really hope that this is tied into tomorrow's "revolution", else this is all just such a let down.
