Teletext says E4 will be showing BB US 'as live' (with a 16 hour delay) next month.

The US version of Big Brother begins on July 26 on E4 (it begins on July 8 in America) so they must be cutting a bit out.

Not sure what I think about them showing other Big Brothers in the UK, but the US version is like a completely different show - more like Survivor.

However, I do think the Head of Household system might be a good idea for BB5 in the UK (although the public should still get the final say, not the housemates), as this series has shown that the series does need some new life injected into it.

Also, don't know if I've said this, but with Cameron returning so quickly, the only reason I can see him being exempt for nomination next week is because he'll select the African nominees and Gaetano will select the UK nominees.

E4 is certainly turning into a streaming reality tv channel. I thought the Salon was coming back later this year due to the success from the first series?

Digital Spy says Cameron is coming back tonight. Anyway back to the nominations...

In a way, I wish that Tania was staying, since Jon left, there has been a huge void. And once he has finished his stint on BBLB life just will not be the same. Let's look at the evidence.

Cameron may have been a bit of a dark horse in Africa, but that may have been because he didn't think anyone in England would see him. So when he returns, he may well return to his usual boring self.

Gos tries to be funny, but he cooks and that is basically all he does do. Nush is lovely, she's like a little pixie, sprinkling her fairy dust over all and sundry but once again, without the backing of another (such as Gae) I think she will curl back up into her little shell.

Ray was a devil to the girls, but since BB gave him a verbal warning, he too has become more sober. Plus without Jon obvious annoyance to the whole issue, his antics seem a little academic. Scott has been chosen by pretty much every evictee of the house to be the overall winner. Although I honestly believe that either Scott doesn't talk much, or Channel 4 and E4 just don't give him enough airtime.

Steph can be a little minx, but being nominated this week seems to have sobered up her attitude. (Not that the housemates were that fiery to begin with.) And that leaves me with Tania. Humpy, predictable, blusher faced Tania. She who can throw a tantrum at a moment's notice (perhaps to take the place of Screeching Sissy?) and she who can get drunk on 2 glasses of wine and act like a complete ***t. (BTW I blocked that word out myself... it is a family show after all.)

Anyhoo, the verdict is, as always, up to the voting public. The amazing voting public, who, in their infinite wisdom, got rid of Jon! The same voting public who kept Cameron in the house? Whatever next? BB swapping one housemate in the UK with another one from South Africa? Oh yes it's already been done! Oh well back to the old drawing board... guess I'll just have to continue voting for Tania myself.... I'm a man on a mission now... GET TANIA OUT!!!! STAT!!!!

Well Cameron arrived back just after 10am this morning and is currently telling the housemates what he got upto for the five days that he was away!

Everyone has got up out of bed to listen to his 'stories' and they all look REALLY knackered LOL Smile

If Cameron is still exempt from nomination for another week maybe it means HE is off to Australia next week?

Re: the Aussie swap

Behind BIg Brother (an Aussie fansite) reports it'll be evictees involved in the swap. Saxon from the Aussie version and possib;y Anouska or this weeks evictees will represent Britain.

I hope it doesn't happen - they've done it once, and it appears as if a second swap is just so BB Australia can get in on the act.

I hope there isn't another contential swap. The first time was a novelty, the shock value for the housemate. Even if it was done on a later BB series it would be predictable or expected by housemates in it's format.

So with BB US coming soon and if rumours are true about the BB Oz swap become apparent then it looks like another idea made by tv executives being flogged to death. Nothing like thinking anything new?

I really hope BB gets a year off next year otherwise I think it will be BB5 that turns into BB-bye.

I don't think that'll happen as it'll create a space for another channel to launch a major reality TV series that could in further years take the crown from Big Brother.

Next year the show will need a major change in format and rather than picking 12 nice housemates, they need to look for those that are a bit confrontational.

The main problem with this series is the media built it up as the Jon Tickle show and encouraged viewers to keep the bore in the house - and then they complain it's boring!!!

I can't think of anything else that will radically improve this series - but it is certainly very similar to the first series. For the first few weeks everyone talked about one character (Nasty Nick / Jon Tickle) and after they are evicted the show becomes very ordinary. In 2000 they sent in a hot tub to boost things - maybe this year they've got a sauna hidden somewhere.

A possibility is something they've done in the Aussie version - the Have's and Have-nots. Similar to Rich-Poor, but without the physical divide, the Have-nots are the servants to the haves - preparing their meals, cleaning the house etc. and have to live in servants quarters (which one bedroom could easily be converted into) - must eat outside and remain their until the Haves have finished their meal, and have outdoor showers etc. They also get a uniform to where at all times (there was a rumour at launch about a BB uniform!).

Another possibility for a short term boost is something they did in the US version. On Saturday they could send in loads of luxury shopping and park a car in the garden. The housemates are told they all must get in the car with as much of the shopping as possible - everything they get in they keep. The housemates are then told that the housemate who stays in the car the longest gets to keep it.

Another thing the Americans have done is split each contestants into pairs and told them that for every week both the housemates are in the house, they'll win £1000.

From ITV News (mmm...)

South African Big Brother contestant Gaetano is claiming he had sex with Nush on a pink rug in the bathroom of the UK house.

The Ugandan charmer has returned to South Africa after his UK trip having won the cocktail task set for his house last Saturday.

Having greeted his housemates he rushed to the boys' bedroom to fill them in on his antics.

He claimed he had sex twice with Nush and that as the bathroom is not shown on camera, no one saw them frolicking.

Gaetano, who has been having a fling with his South African housemate Abby, later confessed to her about his shenanigans with Nush. She was unimpressed to say the least.

He has described his stay in the house as "short and sweet" but didn't appear to be too upset about leaving, having complained that the British house is boring.

"They are so very reserved here. It's not like that in Africa. There are more free spirits there. We don't have so many inhibitions," he told Big Brother.

Meanwhile, Cameron has returned to the UK having flown back from Johannesburg. He walked back into the reward room, unbeknown to the other housemates.

After five minutes, Big Brother announced the door was open and Cameron entered the house to screams of delight from the rest of the group.

They rushed over to hug him and bombard him with questions about his time in the Big Brother Africa house.

"Can you believe it? It was completely mad from start to finish, it was absolutely nuts," an excitable Cameron told them.

The Orkney fish trader then regaled them with every detail of his experience, from the moment Big Brother informed him of his task.

Tania looked green with envy when Cameron told the group he had flown to South Africa by private jet.

She, Steph and Nush are all sweating it out as they wait to find out which one of them is for the chop.

The three were all nominated for eviction. When one leaves, the two remaining girls will be out numbered two to one by boys Gos, Ray, Scott and Cameron.

Tania has been feeling increasingly insecure and complained that she no longer felt like a part of the gang.

"I feel like I don't fit in any more. I feel like I'm not one of the group," she said.

The 22-year-old was also caught praying that she be the one to be evicted, saying she loved being in the house but she needed to go now.

On a similar line, the Sun have pulled their £50k prize for the Big Brother Bonk.

Although I think there is little chance of it happening, I think the main reason is that the prize was just a cover price for getting the housemates stories, but they've realised that this year they would be paying over the odds at 50k. Jon said the highest offer he'd had for his story was £7k.

From the BB website:

After naughtily pretending he'd slept with Nush, Gae does a U-turn when girlfriend Abby denies him her lovin'...

DS were also saying that he'd slept with Nush, now I think that he's lying!

It was a mistake kicking both Jon and Fed out. I wasn't a fan of Fed but he did liven it up a bit. Jon was hilarious, interesting discussion and great one-liners.
Ray and Tania are the two i'd get out first, i'd prefer Nush to win, and other than that i'm not too bothered.

Another surprise on the way in a "must-watch" edition of BBLB on Sunday.
