Gatano has arrived in the UK house at 9am this morning. When the Reward Room opened the HMs went to meet Cameron and were visibley shocked at the new housemate. However, they didn't twig what was going on until Gaetano explained all.

This is very interesting, and unexpected. I am interested in seeing how the SA BB contestants take to cameron!

Why would it be wrong? Are you that much of * you are refering to his weight problem? Or is there somthing else that bugs you about Goss?

not really, just that I don't particularly have any desire to see him naked. if anne widdecombe was in the house, would you want to see her tits every five minutes?

His name is Gae?
How do you pronounce that? Surely not gay?

His name is Gaetano, Gae for short. It's pronounced "Guy".

Hopefully Gae will inject the drama needed for the series.

Disapointed to see Sophie and Alison from BB3 slagging off the idea (jealous or what) and saying it goes against the idea of Big Brother. They also slag of the housemates and say there is no one left in the house that interesting. Weren't we saying that this time last year?

From Channel 4

Big Brother has announced the fifth weekly task - a memory test which will give all the housemates the chance to get to know each other even better.

The housemates have to answer ten questions about themselves and memorise each others' answers. This means the gang will have to remember 70 individual facts in all.

Big Brother provided them with a question sheet containing the following questions:

1. What is your earliest childhood memory?

2. When you were a child what did you want to grow up to be?

3. What is the most embarrassing record in your collection?

4. When did you last cry?

5. When did you last give money to charity?

6. What do you love most about your country?

7. What is your best kept secret?

8. What is your favourite joke?

9. If you were invisible for a day what would you do?

10. Which world figure from history do you most admire?

...but housemates keep 5% back for loo roll

The gang have each been provided with a blackboard on which to chalk up their answers. The chalk must be returned to the Diary Room after an hour and half and the blackboards will be taken away in 24 hours' time.

The test will take place on Wednesday afternoon. If the group answer more than one question incorrectly, they will fail the task.

The gang have gambled 95 per cent of their £61.50 shopping budget on the challenge after a heated debate.

Gae, really getting into this housemate swap lark, stamped his presence on the House by announcing: "100 per cent! Let's go for it. We can do it, there's 70 questions and you're seven intelligent people."

Typical British reserve kicked in at this point, the rest of the gang not quite ready to take such a drastic step. Gos and Steph were adamant they would not bet the whole hog.

"You're not gonna change our minds," Steph, who was worried how this would impact on loo roll rations, told Gae. "When we had no toilet paper there was quite a few issues."

Gae looked understandably mystified at this point but eventually and after much debate, the gang agreed to compromise and bet 95 per cent...

It's all three girls up for eviction this week!

Tania or Nush...given that Tania wants to leave anyway after Gae said she "ate like a pig", which caused her to feel "mentally abused", I'll say she's going this week.

That's quite a surprise. Although I though it could be any housemate nominated, I'm surprised that Nush is and thought that Ray might be a name mentioned.

Think Tania will go - that's another character gone. They really do need to send in a couple new housemates.

Has to be Tania to go this week.

If she doesn't walk by Friday after taking offence at being called a "piggy" by Gae... Smile

I should say VOTE STEPH out (poor Cameron - he'll be looking for her all next week), but I think Tania will go as she is the one that stands out.

Re: the public vote. The number of votes broke the 1m barrier for the first time this series with last weeks double evictions - 500,000 were cast between 9pm and 10pm.

From Digital Spy:
Week One (ANOUSKA, Jon, Fed, Scott) - 594,393 votes
Week Two (JUSTINE, Jon) - 640,081 votes
Week Three (SISSY, Fed, Jon) - 897,852 votes
Week Four (FED, JON, Cam) - 1,735,317 votes

Although he had the most votes at 8.40pm, Federico actually had the least overall.
Fed 29% (503,851)
Jon 37% (641,802)
Cam 34% (589,664 )

This means Jon got at least 139,000 votes between 9pm & 10pm and Cameron therefore got at most 360,000 votes in this period. (I imagine it was alot closer though). I think this is the first series where it would actually be easier to vote for who you want to stay rather than who you want to go.

I wonder if the format might change following the boost in voting figures last week. It might be better not to tell the housemates who is nominated until the Friday night.

Use the 8.30pm to let Davina tell them who is nominated and get them to pack their bags, then reveal the result at 10pm and give the housemates 1minute to leave (as most other versions appear to do).
