Are the housemates allowed to know the time in this series? Every time I've seen it they all seem to know it. I thought there were no clocks or time-keeping devices allowed?

IIRC in one of the earlier series there was a clock on the oven - the only time keeping device allowed in the house.

Don't they wear watches that are covered up, so the average E4 viewer doesn't realise that it's delayed by 20 minutes?

There not watches. They are devices to monitor blood pressure and heart rate or something so some people who watch them know what their feeling - or some crap like that.

...and the Friday night eviction shows are live, without a delay - how would it work otherwise??

The actual eviction is live, but the result isn't. This was changed last year:

The clues:
Arrow Lines close within five minutes of the show beginning, with the result not announced till at least 15 minutes later. In series 1 & 2 the lines remained open until just prior to the result.
Arrow The Sunday night show always says DAY XX, 8.38pm, followed by the announcement, when on Friday nights it is screened usually around 8.53pm.
Arrow The housemates usually refer to it being very quick and earlier than usual.

'Tis Jon, Fed and Sissy up for eviction this week.

Spoilt for choice, I think.

Indeed - for me it's a choice of two. Be interesting to see how the housemates will take the news this week.

What will be the crunch is each housemates' approach and reaction to the task. So far, I've found Jon irritating and condescending, Sissy diplomatic but a whinge, and Fed just a usual bag of nerves.

There is a real risk of Sissy being voted out here, I fear that Jon/Federico might divide the vote, leaving Sissy to be evicted.

This I believe would be very bad for the show to leave 3 girls and 6 blokes. Big Brother is really suffering this year anyway.

I really hope Sissy stays as she is one of the few girls I like - I liked Anouska and Justine but they were evicted. I also hope Fed stays!

I think it would be interesting though if it ended up with twice as many men as women in there

I liked Sissy to begin with but in the last few days she is grating on me, and I think voting her out is the best chance Fed has of staying in.

If we are lucky, those wanting to keep Fed in will think voting for Jon is a pointless vote and instead vote for Sissy, bringing down the no. of votes needed and leading to Jon being evicted.

What are people's opinions on Gos?
I think he'll stay till near the end due to being a chef, but his over-excitement when winning entry to the reward room both weeks and his condesending attitude to others who attempt to cook really grate on me, although I can't think of another major flaw in his character.

And re: 6 Boys v 3 Girls - rumour has it Big Brother will be sending in another housemate very soon...

OTHER NEWS
Celebrity Big Brother has been axed as C4 don't believe further series would be that dynamic or interesting despite the "success" of the first two. I think the main reason is that Celebrity reality TV shows are now scrapping the bottom of the D-list barrel..., and I wouldn't rule out the return of Celeb BB in the more distant future.

PS: A new reality TV show has just begun in Ireland on RTE and it wouldn't surprise me if it arrives on our shores (literally) soon. Check this thread for RTE: Cabin Fever and if anyone has seen it, what is it like?

The housemates have failed their third weekly task after Jon was one of the housemates to drop a clanger (while Federico got it right, for once).

Meanwhile, it's been revealed another housemate is in the house - Charlie the Chimp!
