Despite the fact that Sissy had already won last week? It was between Ray and Nush as neither of these won last week

But the point is I like Sissy more than Ray and Nush so I would prefer to be with her than them - thats all.

Sissy is almost as miserable a justine was. I hope she gets voted out next - her shouting in the disco room last week was just too much, and too fake.

I thought Sissy's reaction was very bad last night - she was a sore loser. Last week, not only did she get into the Reward Room, she got in their automatically after being picked as umpire.

If next weeks challenge is similar to last weeks, with an umpire, I guess Ray should be automatically selected.

How are they changing the room without the HMs noticing - from BBLB I know they do it very quietly, but if they are giving it a fresh coat of paint, surely the HMs can smell the paint fumes.

THREE STRIKES:
The Three Strikes and your Out rule is not in place this year, but over the last few days quite a few housemates have been told off.
Arrow Ray, for standing on furniture (he could injure himself)
Arrow Nush and Federico - for using the pool while under the influence of alcohol
Arrow Tania - for stealing from the reward room
Arrow Not reported by Big Brother, but their is a rumour Jon has been wearing clothing which promotes a friends drinks business. BB has a dilemma - HMs are strictly forbidden from advertising, but by making an issue out of it, they would give that company more advertising than they could dream off.

RUMOURS:
Arrow A 13th housemate is set to be voted into the house - likely to be female.
Arrow After just one year the Big Brother house is beginning to fall apart. Fencing and walls are having to be repaired throughout the series. Could the house be rebuilt for the next series?

BIG BROTHER LIVE:
Finally, a word about the live coverage. Most of the C4 programmes this year have been quite good, but last night C4 dropped live coverage in favour of a repeat of the task, while on Friday night the show was cutting rapidly from one conversation to the next when the girls were in the bedroom and the boys in the pool.

THE BELL TOLLS FOR REMAINING HOUSEMATES

Details of this week's tasks, from http://channel4.com/bigbrother

Quote:
Weekly Task Announced
Day 17, 15:30

After much singing in the house, musical skill will be required this week with a memory-taxing bell-ringing task.

The housemates will be required to memorise and perform a mystery piece of music on Wednesday using handbells.

The piece will consist of a series of 94 numbers and won't require the housemates to read music. They will be given the first 40 numbers today, a further 40 on Monday and the final 14 on Tuesday.

They will receive handbells to practise on, but without the clappers. However on Wednesday when they perform the task they will have fully functioning bells. They will have two attempts at performing the piece correctly in a ten minute period.

The rules state that every housemate must take part; that each housemate will only be allowed to practise on their own two bells; that bells must not be damaged in any way and housemates may not say notes aloud during the final performance.

The housemates now have to decide how much of their weekly shopping budget to gamble (from 50% to 100%) on the successful completion of the task.

Come back soon to see the housemates' reaction to this latest challenge...

Quite a good one I think - I bet the tune is the Big Brother theme!

The question is - after his knowledge about winkers caused Fed to win for the first time last night, will he drop a clanger and fail the weekly task for the group for the third week in a row?

Only just spotted this thread!

Does anybody think BB4 is pretty poor?

I haven't really ever watched it, but all my friends who, until this year have all been addicts, think this year has had a pretty poor pick of people, with nobody being all that 'lovable'

Anybody agree with this? or it is just too early and their characters haven't developed yet?

The problem is, they are all too similar, they all have similar character traits. There isn't anyone who is objectionable like a Jade or a Stuart, so the media has turned it's attention to Jon - and for what reason ? Because he is boring, says it all really.

They all like each other and on the whole they get on well with each other. Nobody wants to see that, it doesn't make for good entertainment does it.

Are the housemates allowed to know the time in this series? Every time I've seen it they all seem to know it. I thought there were no clocks or time-keeping devices allowed?

IIRC in one of the earlier series there was a clock on the oven - the only time keeping device allowed in the house.

Don't they wear watches that are covered up, so the average E4 viewer doesn't realise that it's delayed by 20 minutes?

I think you've hit the nail on the head, and the only thing that seems to be dividing the people in the house is gender. You're right, it's pretty boring - I just watched it now because i'm not allowed to turn it over!

Housemates do have a clock on the oven, which they generally reset at the BB 9am hot water announcement.

Re: timing. The Sunday night show always gives it away that the Friday 8.30pm programme is not live, as the eviction announcement occurs at 8.38pm (15mins before screening - yet still the swearing continues to be broadcast), with the eviction 90 minutes later.

This began last year when the main eviction show was brought forward to 10pm. So is the 8.30pm show recorded to give HMs more time or just due to being pre-watershed. I'm sure the eviction announcements this series and last have been accompanied by more swearing than the LIVE (really LIVE) shows of 2000 and 2001.

Re: this series. I personally believe this series has far more likeable characters than the last and the house is alot more appealing to the viewers IMO. I think it'll be along time before BB2 is beaten, but this series is far better so far than last years, although on a completely different level.

In Big Brother 1, the housemates did not have any time keeping devices whatsoever, but the psychologists felt it was necessary for the housemates to have a rough idea of the time in the house so their body clock didn't get too confused (well, something like that).

The 'covered up watches' are actually not watches at all. They are in fact a body monitoring device which enables Big Brother to keep an eye on how their body is affected during their stay in the house (as I understand it, anyway).

...and the Friday night eviction shows are live, without a delay - how would it work otherwise??
