I like the new set which Davina is presenting from this evening.

So far they all seem OK - that girl that was first to go in - did you see the look she gave to that other girl - even Davina commented on it.

LOL my nickname Jez would be appropriate for Big Brother

So, there is no minger then this time. All the girls look like they've stepped out of the Kays catalogue or something. Channel 4 just love the body beautiful don't they.

We are still waiting for the first wheelchair bound person or the first aspies sufferer then.

AND, next time, I WANT A CONTESTANT CALLED MAVIS. Laughing

What about the first epileptic Square Eyes? I could have the first live fit on channel 4!

Yeah for next Friday's eviction - they will each nominate one person for eviction and the 2 with the most votes will be put up for the public vote.

I have to say how can they get to know who they get in with on an hour - they should have left it until Monday or Tuesday.

Whilst Cameron from Orkney was saying goodbye to his family before entering the Big Brother house , i noticed that his brother is none other than Julyan Sinclair , former S2 Live presenter/reporter and now STV presenter of various programmes like ,The Point, Loud TV and covers the Edinburgh festival stuff for SMG .

Living in Orkney myself, I found it quite interesting that they had someone from Orkney on. It'll be interesting to see what happens to him.

But, darn it, they're doing the series in bl**dy 4:3 format again, when there was so much potential of
making it 16:9 this year! Yeah, I know some of the cameras inside the house are of the CCTV variety
(albeit encased in chrome domes), but then, as I said earlier in this thread, the cameras behind those
two-way mirrors, in the so-called "camera run", are full sized studio type cameras, and would be more
than capable of 16:9 output. There are also the TV cameras in the main studio. They too are more than
capable of recording pictures in 16:9 format. But no, just for the sake of the smaller CCTV type cameras,
inside the Big Bro house, they've wasted yet another opportunity of doing BIG Brother in full 16:9 format.

I'm sure some of you are bound to say you hate widescreen programming, but then Channel 4 was
one of the first terrestrial TV stations in UK to use the 16:9 format. Most of C4's output is in 16:9,
even some of the programs imported from the States. But when it comes to their most popular
show during the summer season, they bloomin' well do it in the old style 4:3 format. D'OH!

Thus removing any interest in the evictions whatsoever.

Considering they are a bit older this year, I was a little surprised at how many of them still seemed to be living at their parents'.

They aren't that much older. and theres certainly no "older" ones. Everyone is in the age range of 20 - 32. even bbc news online have admited they've opted for a younger bunch:
