Crikey Mark Boulton - where have you been? Comes in here, ranting and raving...I don't know. Laughing

Anyway, it is absolutely one of the most laughable disappointments of the year, that Endemol are completely making a balls-up of what could be the best part of this series so far. Carry on like this, and in a way, it spells the end for Big Brother.

The production team clearly aren't bothering anymore and I think this is partly due (not just with the new house building) to so many Health and Safety and various rules and regulations that need and should have gone on before hand. The end seems nigh sadly.

I don't understand why people are writing it off so quickly. This year has been bad, boring and predictable and probably won't much improve by the end but it has happened before and they came back - better than ever - well better at least. It strikes me that with something as diverse as Big Brother it'll go in swings and roundabouts with a dud every few years where they get the mix of people wrong. Bet you by next year Big Brother has turned up the evil-thermostat yet again.

Now, what's this all about? "NOT FOR TRANSMISSION" ??? And even more strangely, what appears to be a copyright strap at the bottom, but all end with "MMIII" (2003)

The copyright straps actually show MCMIII (1903), which was the birthyear of some guy or another, although I do agree, what on earth is the NOT FOR TRANSMISSION line for?

Maybe the NOT FOR TRANSMISSION is like two fingers up at everyone who says Big Brother should not be on air.

George Orwell, who you have to thank for a lot of things on Big Brother, like the name for a start.

Now, what's this all about? "NOT FOR TRANSMISSION" ??? And even more strangely, what appears to be a copyright strap at the bottom, but all end with "MMIII" (2003) whereas a similar strap appears on the 'buzzword' flashes (such as "VOMIT", "DESPERATE", "ELECTROCUTE", etc. etc.) ending with "MMVI" (2006)......

Anyone else have thoughts on this?

I noticed this on 19 May on the main BB programme:

EDIT: From what I can make out the text is "By agreeing to take part in Big Brother you agree to abide by the rules. Big Brother reserves the right to change the rules at any time.
NOT FOR TRANSMISSION
Big Brother's decision is final
"

Obviously there are strangely different copyright dates for each of the programmes.

Isn't this strap merely a little joke?
I wonder what Big Brother is going to tell the housemates after they have guessed about the new house...''Oh the drilling sound is the construction of the new Harry Potter set nextdoor...''

The Diary Room website does indeed clear some things up (well, some). And oh dear, so it was M C MIII - I used to think I had such good eyesight, too!

Can I blame the quality of the compression...?!??!?! Confused

No, thought not! (Personally, I would have gone for MCMLXXXIV - especially as it's a year I remember as being a particularly good one for some reason).

I wonder how many people tuned in at 9pm and though Cliff Richard and Gordan Ramsey had moved into the house? Laughing

Going off topic, but I wish they'd go back to the old Property Ladder format of one house per show.

Neither pair is done justice with two houses per show - though I was very happy that woman lost tens of thousands! Deserved her right - why do they apply to appear on these shows only to ignore everything Sarah Beeny says!

Back to Big Brother - I guess it's 10pm on Wednesdays till the end of the series then!

ITV have confirmed that Nobody **** Island will begin on Monday 10th July - so it wouldn't surprise me at all if that is the day the "neighbours" move into the new house!

Is Celebrity Hate Island going to be put up against Big Brother? It's not that I like it but ITV have a bad habit of making programmes clash at peak times to win over Big Brother and soon my Dad will be switching back and forth trying to watch it all but I'm disappointed at it being moved at 10pm because of the F Word.
