I dont know why Pete won, what has he done that is so amazing this year?

He swore every 3rd word. Even after watching him for 13 weeks, Davina and the crowd thought this was hilarious. That's the demographic the show appeals to.

That's a very misleading post. The crowd were cheering. If there were laughs, they weren't laughing AT him - in my experience people do tend to laugh when they're happy. Do you?

So did Lisa, but everyone on here apart from me seemed to dislike her!

I actually found Pete's interview excruciating to watch, it was obvious that he wouldn't be able to give any coherent answers judging by his reaction to winning the show.

he certainly caused confusion for the cameras when he ran off into the audience at the end

Yes, the only sort of people who would find it funny are the 12 year olds who giggle every time they hear the word "sex".

pete's tourettes obviously gets worse when he's nervous, so the combination of that, the fact he won and the crowd noise meant that very little could be understood.
apparently, pete has given all of his prize money to his mother and his band are set to sign for a record label.

Pete won because he was a nice guy who did little harm - but I would be lying if I said his struggle to cope with his syndrome didn't garner him a colossal amount of votes.

Squarey is right about the crowd falling into hysterics every time he swore. He couldn't hold his train of thought when they did this, and in fact was shouting "stop" towards the audience at several points. Davina made much of the "humour" in his tourettes. That possibly says more about her pea-sized brain than for the rest of the public.

I'm glad to hear he ascended from his own personal "hell"; but as the viewer I didn't particularly see this journey.

I enjoy watching relationships (read: good friendships - not sex) forming in the house over time, and Pete left me cold by the end with his inability to truly engage with people in an honest way. Unless of course he really *does* love everything and everyone - and I think we all know that is impossible.

It's not that he couldn't express himself, becuase he did in the diary room. It's just that he couldn't handle saying things someone else might not like. That's not a great model for friendship.

If I had to cry over something, I would rather it be a person, than a fly or a rat with a broken leg.

Once I'd got beyond the point of wanting to give him a comforting cuddle, I began to feel let down by the role he played in the house.

I don't think that someone who avoids any form of confrontation or opinion is the best person to win BB - but what the hey!

Good luck to him.

Congrats to Pete, BUT... I think Aisleyne or Glyn should have won...

Well done to Pete although in the end I did want Glyn to win, mainly because Pete & Nikki show this week.

BBBM is great wish I had seen more this year.

Have to be honest I prefered this years to BB5 & BB6 mainly because this years at least could reslove their issues once they had an argument.

Have to say good on Ashlene for admitting her mistakes, unlike a certain Makosi last year who reckoned she did nothing wrong.

Never hated Ashlene but I did find her a bit hypocritical at times (especially nominations)

Don't forget you get to see all of Friday's Highlights tonight on Channel 4 at 9.00pm followed by a Special Big Brother's Little Brother with all the Housemates getting together back in the house garden for a party at 10.00pm Sunday Night Channel Four.

Pete's interview was awful. Someone like richard would have made it worthwhile. I thought Richard's ''Dickie'' show package was very funny indeed.
