The softener is that the profits from the phone vote for the 4 returning to the house will go to charity.

A hollow gesture really. They know that Pete had this sown up, and they were unlikely to take much revenue from calls in the final. This sets up a Pete vs Nikki final showdown and a big cash windfall.

This kind of manipulation of the viewer leaves a nasty taste in the mouth. Whatever happened to "Who goes, You decide" ?

Well we can still decide, square eyes. It's just we need to housemates to put Nikki up first. I don't think it's right that whoever goes back should be eligible to win as that housemate hasn't been under BB conditions the whole time, sidetracking the normal procedure. It doesn't seem just at all and completely set up, as producers know who people want back in (not that I'm complaining).

We had decided, she was voted out, gone, no longer elligible, until Endemol's manipulation tonight. It's all about a big pay off in the final week as they've been left with a bunch of uninteresting characters unlikely to spark much response on the phone lines.

So what you're saying is Endemol want to pay to a worthy housemate who provided entertainment like Glyn or Nikki, not Imogen etc? I agree.

I'd disagree. I would have said that Glyn was right in there, and that the nation was effectively split. However, I see what you're saying about Nikki and boosted revenue, a sure winner for Endemol.

Its ridiculous that a housemate that has been evicted is now eligible to win. People voted that particular housemate out of the house, so what makes them think people will vote for them to win.

With four new housemates needing to go in, shows how crap BB has become

They arent new housemates though, thats the point! These people have been evicted from the house so therefore should no longer be eligible. It was different with Aisleyne going to the house next door and bringing in 5 new people. Although the housemates thought Aisleyne has been evicted the viewers voted to move her so there was nothing wrong with that.

Nikki, Nikki, Nikki...it's all about her! Plus, they're not necessarily putting them back in there with the thought that viewers are suddenly going to want the chosen ex-housemate to win, but for the fact that it would simply inject life into the house and boost ratings and voting numbers - putting Grace back in for instance.

Right so the four ex-housemates are going into the house next door and we know how it failed last time so its bound to fail second time round unless they have made the walls thicker (which I doubt) but how many ex-housemates are going into the main house and how?

1, through viewers voting again methinks...

This is ridiculous - even more so that the evicted housemates going back in are apparently eligible to win. That surely defy's the whole object of the show or maybe i'm missing something.

Anyway, so long as that two-faced, rich tart Grace stays out I'll be happy. I suppose I've mellowed a bit on the fact Nikki might go back in - now knowing there's a vote etc.
