Apparently, the backup housemates will be called for the positition of the new housemates, after many papers have named the suspected new housemates.

The official rule is that the housemates can not know who else is in the house before the series begins - so generally speaking if there names are leaked before they are in lockdown, they are out!
If after lockdown (and they have been in lockdown at least a week), it's at the producers discretion.

Following non-celeb Chantelle's success in Celebrity Big Brother, there is much speculation that a celebrity will be in this year's regular line-up. Show bosses are reportedly in the final stages of signing up a star who they believe will spice things up. But will they be able to go all the way and win the series? And which celebrity would be brave enough – or should that be mad enough – to enter the house? Someone call Jackie Stallone!
Rumour 2: There'll be a golden opportunity to become a housemate

In a Willy Wonka-style twist, 100 tickets have been placed in KitKat chocolate bars, and those who find them will be entered into a lottery to become a Big Brother 7 housemate. This will culminate in a TV special where one of the ticket-holders enters the house live during a special Channel 4 programme. There are already fears that the tickets could be sold on eBay for up to £10,000, and newspapers are also offering to buy tickets from people who find them.

For the first time in the show's history, Big Brother will run for an incredible 13 weeks. Channel 4 bosses have also brought forward the launch date by more than a week in a bid to beat off stiff competition from rival shows such as ITV1's Love Island and a celebrity version of The X Factor. Oh, what the heck – why don't you just go ahead and make it all year round. We can't get enough of it!

A Sunday newspaper has claimed to have the identities of this year's housemates, which are normally kept top secret until launch night. The News Of The World reported that 12 contestants will enter this year's house, among them a hyperactive oddball, a topless model, a dumpy teenager, a cheeky Scouse ladies' man and a shaven-headed gay muscleman. Sounds like a pretty typical BB line-up to us. Roll on the tears and tantrums...
Rumour 5: Davina is ready for an on-set birth

The Big Brother presenter is taking no chances over the birth of her third child. Davina, who is due to give birth in September, has said that she will have her birth kit with her just in case the baby is early and has to be delivered in her dressing room! Channel 4 has lined up BBLB presenter Dermot O'Leary as Davina's stand-in for such an event.

This year's house has been designed with the aim of getting the housemates out in the open air as much as possible. There's a new pool, which is big enough for all of the housemates to splash about in together. There's also extra seating outside and – best of all – an outdoor bar and barbecue area. Get out those bikinis and swimming trunks – oh, and a teeny bit of sunshine would help too!
