You are "live" on Channel 4 if you don't count the time delay so please do not swear as we haven't bothered to censor any of the programme so far.

It's Friday night - why isn't Davina on Channel 4? Sad

"What's with the "you're live on channel 4, please do not swear" stuff that Davina has been saying before they go live to the house?"

Billy H:
"Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that was first said by Davina near the end of Series 2 in 2001- there was a surprise eviction the day before the final, and Davina added the "please do not swear" line after one of the housemates did so."

Right series - wrong eviction. In BB2, when Amma was told she was going to be evicted, she used the "f***" word, which went out uncensored just before 9pm, inevitably leading the Mail brigade to complain to the ITC. So, since then, Davina adds in the "Please do not swear" when the next housemate is about to be evicted.

Yes, but this line has now decended in to the relms of a catchprase for Davina.
It's all very well saying 'please do not swear' to the housemates, but usually during the last series, we have been hearing the words she is trying to get them not to say on the VT highlights of the previous day.

Which renders saying it in the first place all rather pointless.. Rolling Eyes

Everytime I watch BB why do I expect Davina to say 'Don't say f*ck or bugger!'

I still think that would be funnier for some reason.

Last year Jon left and then went back in again. The first live eviction after returning Davina spoke to the house and said You're live on Channel 4, please don't swear' and jon replied: 'does that include the F word and the b word?''

Quite funny for us at home.... totally bewidering for all in the house

Jason actually came over pretty well on the Big Brother Winner's Week Special aired tonight at 9pm on Channel 4.

He doesnt want to see any of them ever again and wants to get back to reality rather than ponce about on 'desperate' cable channels whoring themselves!

Well done Jason!

Also Michelle sold her 'story' to Hello for a reported 100k whereas Nadia (the winner!) only managed to get a reported 30k for her story! The world has gone completely mad!

Is it now time to "Evict this sticky thread from the TV Forum"?
You have 30-minutes to gather your thoughts and say goodbye to this thread before it is evicted Smile

As it's all in the past now, E4 are holding on with another week of Winners Week. Like last week, it is on Mon, Wed and Fri. I only saw about 2 minutes of it which is normally the entire show anyway! but it concentrated on Nadia with her keep fit regime.

Found this interesting which I didn't know:
BBC Big Brother
BBC getting involved with Big Brother, I thought all ties were severed when the Comic Relief special ended.
