Hmm... history repeats itself!
Now I think this is felt as the "Make or break" series for Big Brother, which over the last two years has plummeted. It got a bit crap in 2002 then a lot crap in 2003. It needed something up it's bum (like Marco's winky?!) in order to be a hit this year. The evil thing could work well.
HOWEVER:
They're trying to turn the show into a Survivor that's not on a desert island. Survivor, as we all know, was pants. Survivor, more importantly, did not set the country's pants on fire.
Trying to turn up the gay factor doesn't work, especially in "Make or Break" situations. Yvon Grace worked that one out the hard way over a year ago now. (I don't want to bring that old chestnut up again, but I'm showing the obvious parallels.)
Why no normal people? The South African (?) girl and the student guy are the nearest things to normal. As for Marco... it's false more than anything and nobody can surely be that gay?! Sex-changes? Egoistic lesbians?
I think Marco and the one who snogged her bird before going in are plants.
Peeps don't want arguments. Peeps don't really want sex. Yes they want a couple to form but they don't need the porn movie too. Teen Big Brother was great because it went back to the spirit of BB1.
Given that it's the only BB here in the UK that got any sex, it's amazing that they've learnt nothing from it.
I'll be giving it a few weeks and see what happens. It's either going to be a smash hit and must-see TV or it's going to do a Crossroads MK3 pretty damn quick.

I think on some occasions Marcus has provided the voice of Big Brother, but yes he does the narrating for the highlights shows - "Day 'eyat' in the Big Brother Ouse!" The usual voice of Big Brother belongs to the duty producer I believe.
