Big Brother 3

I wanted to start a Big Brother 3 thread as I got chatting about it in the chatroom this afternoon.

All I know is that the house in the new series will be at Elstree (home of Eastenders & WWTBAM). Although the neighbours are rumoured to have kicked up a fuss (the site is close to a residential area).

There is talk of a 'luxury area' in the house where housemates can only go if they succeed in the various challenges. And apparently Davina has been singed up again to present. As for Big Brothers Little Brother I don't know, not sure if Dermot will be there again.

Anyone know when the series is due to start and whether E4 will have continuous coverage like last time ?

E4's continuous daytime coverage didn't really work because they couldn't show everything and they had to keep cutting the sound bcos of swearing. It would be better a +9pm service!

I heard that the house will be split in two with a glass wall separating the two halves, one of which will be the pauper part of the house with just basic food and straw for beds and the other half will be the wealthy part with champagne, jacuzzis and caviar! Housemates will swap around the two halves according to how well they complete their tasks until there are 5 housemates left and the wall will be removed.

Elstree, eh? I can get there for the evictions! I'm not surprised that the neighbours are kicking up a fuss there - they're a snooty lot in Elstree. Another claim to fame near me is that the Popstars house was really near me in Mill Hill (again another snooty part of where I live).

Yes, IMO a rather dumb idea. That's not Big Brother. That's Big Bugger.

Thinking about another series of Big Brother makes me feel sick! The same thing happened last year when I thought that it wouldn't be the same as the first series. But when I watched a few episodes of the second series I was hooked! So hopefully a third series will just be as good and strong as the first and second.

They are NOT the same studios, I have been to and worked at BBC Elstree many times and should know!
Look at the 7th paragraph of that page:

'In and around Borehamwood/Elstree, are other studios, more famous for film making.'

These 'other studios' are the ones used for WWTBAM and soon Big Brother 3.

The documentary about BB the other week showed the site of the new house and it's not at BBC Elstree... there's not enough room for a start!

The studios where WWTBAM and BB3 are going to be filmed are not the BBC ones.

Wasn't Eastenders pushing TOTP out to get more space?

Well sorry to spoil it all for you guys but here's a bit of information you will not like to hear........................

This new concept for Big Brother 3 is not new at all and to be quite honest it will be S**t. The concept is based around another game show which was manufactured by a certain Easten Europan company called Poland.  The original game show was simply just a bad rip-off, of Big Brother which enjoyed huge success in the country.
It was called 'Dwa Swiaty' and is simply translated as Two Worlds (pronouce the w's as v's!). This show got absolutly dismal viewign figures and for some unknown reason the producers, Polsat, S.A. carried on producign cheap rip-offs using the same house time and time again, trying new concepts such as, Amazonki where we had a buch of fit women (no complaints there!) ruling over men and deciding whether or not they should kick them out.
Then came the Gladiatozy or the 'Gladiators' when the contestants were paired up and then the men had to fight it out to stay with their partners (are you getting a feeling the producers where femail?)

There's more crap coming out of this house today beaming down on an anolgue dish near you today and it seems the endless name changes will never end.

In all Big Brother is getting desperate for viewers and belive me this idea of two worlds will work as well as battery in a fire. It's true that there will be some conflicts over the area's by the housemates but thats all that will happen and what will happen is endless contestants leaving the house because of the pressure.

It's a rubbish concept and I truely do hope the english do make an effort to at least make it watchable.

I'm sorry to disapoint but i'm not looking forward to this summer!
