Ever since they moved outside in BB5 most people on various forums etc. have believed it's a mistake.

They themselves quickly realised doing the interviews outside was a mistake (even though they persist in doing them for the finals) - but they don't seem to care about the rest.

The irony is that now Davina hosts the show amongst the crowd, not only do the crowd virtually ignore her, she has next to no communication with the crowd either.

If you look at any of the BB1-BB4 evictions (most are on YouTube), Davina spoke more to the crowd in the minute or so walk to the house than she does now in an entire hour around them.

This is a perfect example of how an eviction should be... i think

Yep, it was a great set up.Despite the dull housemates, there was a lot about that series that was just so great.

Yeah - presentation wise they were spot on!

Also, much better having the crowd arranged like that outside the studio than the current situation of having them in front of the house.

It's the studio too which is so wasted - I think this year's is probably one of the best yet we only see it for the interview (and On the Couch). The screen opening up would make it perfect.

And if not that, I wouldn't mind having a compromise of having a bigger crowd in the studio (like BB6), so if they want an audience reaction when linking to the house, they can have one - but slightly more controlled.

And personally, for evictions losing the outdoor crowd all together wouldn't be an issue if they get a decent indoor crowd - this is from the first eviction of CBB2 and I thought it worked quite well:

And at least they used to vary the theme tunes each series, but now they seem to have just given up. I also don't like the 30seconds countdown- in BB5 it was much more dramatic having 1minute and with the evil voice too!

Davina's role has been diminished so much that she has barely any time on screen, and when she does, she feels she has to make stupid outbursts and weird facial contortions. She has no communication with the crowd at all.

I know- it's even worse with On the couch- it's so cringeworthy when shes trying to be funny, but nobody laughs apart from her, the audience just sit in silence! Rolling Eyes

Haha yes, or when she tries to be intelligent with the psychologists, but ends up over-simplifying things. On The Couch is just awful, really bad television. It should be a fast paced, half hour show. At the moment, there's no momentum.

It's the same with the whole series so far really...

I agree with what's been said. The old eviction shows were the best - more build up. There seems to be no build up now, its a case of, "blah blah's coming out!" "You have been evicted please leave the Big Brother house" press photos > commercial break > interview > finish.

Arrggh, Charley... what a bitch!

Jonathan seems to be coming across as a bit patronising, I don't think he means it but there's a bit of "my world's better than yours so I'm the smartest" about him. Millionaires....huh!

I like Jonathan.

I hope Charley goes this week!
