BB down to 2.6m last night. Britains Got Talent got 6.4m.

Wonder if the "twist" is starting to back fire. I think a more equal house from the start would have been preferable.

The only thing that will backfire is changing most of the Big Brother times this week to clash with Britain's Got Talent- it's their own fault.

Now ive never been a fan of lezley, but i felt so sorry for her last night when they pulled the cover of her. Now i know seany was hyper and i understand why he did it, but charley and shabnam were propper egging him on and when lezley got upset charley went over and was being her best mate! I hate her, and i hate how 2faced she is.

It really upset me when he pulled the cover of and lezley propper paniked and pulled her top down because she thought bits were showing. I hate charley and i hate this years big brother, im defo watching brittans got tallent tonight!

Yeah, I felt so sorry for her and I wish she hadn't left, I will also be watching Britain's Got Talent instead of Big Brother

Very dodgy scheduling this week - they should have kept it at 10pm.

Sunday's was low, but there is usually a blip at some point - it's whether it recovers that's the issue.

BB's ratings are slightly down, but relatively speaking it's still doing pretty well considering they're hovering just below the 4m mark, and last week apart from the soaps and The Apprentice, during the week the top rated programmes were only getting around 4.5m. C4 also won the slots with BB and Ugly Betty on Friday night.

Seany - what he did to Lesley was awful, but I really like him, a real interesting character which is what the house needs.

It's too early to say with the ratings, but it's not good viewing at the moment is it ?

The dip could probably be put down to a few things ;

- Housemates - Loss of some interesting characters, silly bickering and bitching women, gender imbalance which has restricted the group dynamic

- Too many bland uninteresting characters - the twins, Laura, Nicky etc. Gerry and Seany are a turn off.

- No proper shopping tasks

- No proper nominations or viewer vote 3 weeks in

- Although not significantly popular, the loss of a Saturday show has got some viewers "out of the habit" and the momentum is lost

- The analysis show before highlights on a Sunday, who wants to sit through 2 hours of BB when it's this dull ?

In comparison BGT seems fresh and aspirational.

Most likely due to people being bored after 8 series now. I heard some people talking about BB the other day and they said they arent bothering watching again due to it running for 7 or 8 series and getting boring.

This series so far is not exactly thrilling to watch, but i dont think it should be wiped off completely, though i think the damage is done. With many people saying they dont like it, i often wonder why do i watch BB. Answer is i just like it.

Its ashame there werent 7 men at the start, and had 7 of these girls in because some of of them could have worked well with the men.

I think BB: On the Couch is dreadful television. It suited Dermot much better when he did the Brain show, Davina is just awful. She makes her questions overly simplistic and the show loses its pace quickly and becomes dull.

I've preferred this show quite a lot when compared to the last series, which I found too "twisty."

There doesn't seem to be unnecessary themes in this series, such as the prison one last year which dominated all the output, or Rich vs Poor.

The twins may be dull but I think it's more about the eye-candy than the girls themselves. It'll be very, very interesting when/if one gets evicted but the other doesn't. Most of the tabloids on their little "chart" things they run class them as one - ie "The Twins" or "Samanda".

I can't get into BGT though, it just seems like a very weak X Factor. I'll be glad when that starts back up again TBH - normally at the end of BB AFAIK.

Well, to Stuart, Steve and Johnny - if you seriously think you know *anything* about being discriminated against because of your race, then I'd like to hear it.

Being 35 years of age I've spent enough years with those who truly have faced discrimination. How dare you, Stuart, patronise me about what I have come to understand.

Disagree with me if you choose, but don't even think about dismissing my opinion as "misunderstood".

You may understand my point in years to come, but I'm beggining to doubt you have the capacity.

Shame on you.

I have the capacity Gavin - I put it to you that YOU do not. Only the other week I walked into some premises and was treated very rudely by a black receptionist - as were two other white people who came in. An Asian man came in and anyone would think he was her boyfriend (she clearly didn't know him.)

The darkies can discriminate against the whiteys just as well.

Racism, contrary to popular belief, is very much two-way traffic.

Sorry to do another post but I think Mr Scott missed the point of that episode!

Gavin Scott posted:
If you want the best explanation of why then I suggest you watch the episode of South Park that Mr Martin suggested some pages back.

If you've seen that episode all the way through the episode concentrates on how Randy Marsh (Stan's dad) is consistently witch-hunted for saying The N Word live on television.

The parallels with Emily and the British Press are uncanny.

So I don't get your point about how white people don't get discriminated against,.

It might have been an idea to evict Emily and Charley being as they both said it.

Exactly, it is very unfair on Emily at the moment...

I agree - very bad double standards.

But Charley is black. C4 don't want to be seen as racist.
