I just think that is so stupid of her to say it and I also think it is pretty damn offensive. I mean maybe it's just me but I would never dream of using that word anyway, let alone around people who are likely to be offended by it! I see she used the old "I have plenty of black friends" argument as a comeback when she was challenged about it by Charley and Nicky. When are people going to get some originality?
Like someone mentioned before the 'N' word deffinately has double standards and from what ive read as she was dancing with charley, it sounds like she was trying to be funny and cool!
Fair point she shouldnt of said it and it was rather stupid of her, i just hope it doesnt kick off again in the media and it can be just forgotten about and she doesnt get loads of crap because of it
I suspect if the racism row hadn't occured on CBB, she would've just got a warning. But Channel 4 did say they would take a tough stance this year so probably it was the best idea if they were to retain the image of BB.
According to
BBC News,
the incident will not be broadcast.

Not according to the report I've just seen on News 24. They say it
will
be shown tonight.
Irrelevant. I find the word offensive and should not be used. The same penalty should apply to all, otherwise C4/Endomol is simply acting in a racially biased way.
Charley: Fancy you saying that. I can't believe you said that.
Emily: Somebody has already used that word in this house.
Charley: No way. (Pause) Yeah, me. I'm a n*****.
Now, is that not like saying "You Poof" to someone who is gay, and them turning round saying "I'm a poof".
I do actually feel sorry for Emily, i do think we are going to see people in media ( i hope) saying it was an over reaction, which i think it was. Emily wasent using it in a bad way. I notice Media Guardian say that both Nicky and Charley where shocked, but fail to mention that their shock is she said it in light of the Celeb BB incident.
you can't have it both ways - after the CBB fiasco Channel 4 would have had it if they'd left in a housemate who called someone the 'n' word. They can't win FFS. Btw the word is black, not 'coloured'.
Why hasn't Charley been removed as well? She used the same word, in the same conversation, but happens to be coloured, so it must be allowed.
What stupid double standards.
Your'e right. When i took my Year 9 SAT paper the other day it mentioned names in the questions, All of them were names derived from Asian, indian or Foreign people. E.g: Ibrahim, Lohip, Mohammed, etc...
I don't have nothing against it, but isn't that a
*tad*
racially biast?
