Emily's an actress. Did Channel Four tell her to use the word “n*****” so they could immediately get rid of her and look good in the eyes of all those people who criticised the channel over the Shilpa Shetty race row?

Haha as if she has gone, Gutted! Hope they bring a guy in and hope hes not a complete idiot who loves himself!

Pathetic - if it wasn't for CBB she wouldn't have been evicted - a warning at most would have sufficed, and then let the public judge her behaviour.

I suppose this was to be expected at some point during this series.
Though reading the transcripts, I would've thought Endemol/C4 might've been able to look like the good guys if they really showed the context, and the subsequent reaction. That might've been more responsible than 'the word has been said, which is all that matters'

Moreover, they will never win. They will either be in bed with the elusive PC brigade, or harbouring a hive of racist abuse. There is no middleground in media.

This must have been a tough week for Channel 4 - first because of the Diana documentary then this BB row. But at least this time they acted swiftly.

I suspect if the racism row hadn't occured on CBB, she would've just got a warning. But Channel 4 did say they would take a tough stance this year so probably it was the best idea if they were to retain the image of BB.

Its ashame they dont do that to people who say they want to leave, just swing open the door and tell them to hop it.

I agree, think kicking her out was abit over the top. From what i have read she didnt say it nastily and was trying to have a joke with charley. Fair do's she shouldnt of said it but im sure a warning would of been fine

There is a lot of double standards with the 'N' word, but at the same time, is she that stupid to use it after the CBB5 row?
