Gosh, why did he have to accept the X Factor job! Kate should never have been sacked.

I guess it all depends on filming of the X Factor auditions. If i was C4/Endemol i'd want to get someone who genuainly watches the show. Then again i dont think BBLB is that important anymore as it once was.

Like you said Brekkie, Steve Jones is a good bet and would suit well to that i think.

Also is Russell leaving, why would he leave?

As you've probably seen in The X Factor thread, Dermot is taking over so it looks likely we'll lose him from BBLB - as hosting a show six nights a week and covering the auditions during the Summer isn't really going to be possible.

Big Brother must be starting quite soon actually. I wonder who'll replace Russell and Dermot (if they leave).

It's beginning in May as usual.

Rumours suggest Alan Carr has been signed up to replace Russell - but I'm hoping if I ignore them they won't be true!

Laughing Russell Brand replaced by Alan Carr & Dermot replaced by Justin Lee Collins, that would definately be the final nail in the coffin Laughing

I'm really pleased for Dermot. I think he should definitely be replaced on BBLB by Stephen Mulhern!

NO! Not Stephen Mulhern.

Hopefully all this change will revamp BB for the better. It really needs it.

Although I don't blame them Dermot & Russell couldn't have picked a worse time to abandon ship. Reviving the show this summer after the debacles of the last 2 series is going to be impossible enough without having to establish 2 new presenters as well. Rolling Eyes

It's the producers own fault- hopefully this will help them to realise how much they have messed up in the past Rolling Eyes

BBLB isn't really that important. It is stuck on E4 and Dermot doesn't really add much at all unlike Russell who is basically is BBBM. I remember when the whole story started that Russell might not be hosting this year it was taken from some quotes where he said the workload was quite alot. Surely Channel4 could just cut down the amount of BBBM and perhaps just have it 3 times a week.

I'd tip Steve Jones as a likely candidate to replace Dermot - but Russell is trickier IMO. Justin Lee Collins is also mentioned - but I'm not a huge fan of him either.

Alan Carr is extremely funny, but I sense all his humour is scripted and not very spontaneous and therefore, he wouldn't be ideal as a host for a fast-paced show. Also, he's gone down in my opinion since doing the FNP as his humour borders on extremely offensive and plain rude.

I think BB should take a years brake, then come back, i always thought it would work better every two yeaars, just like red nose day. And if they have to have a celeb version make it the same year as the normal show but like the original 2 weeks tops!

This is from DigiSpy:

The theme for this year's US Big Brother will be the 'Summer of Secrets,' exec producer Arnold Shapiro has revealed.

A new two-storey house has been for the sixth season, which begins next Thursday (July 7) on the CBS network.

"This season we have what we are calling 'The Summer of Secrets' meaning that because it is a brand new house there will be multiple secrets uncovered throughout the summer that the HouseGuests will find," Shapiro told Jam! Showbiz. "We were able to do that because we have a brand new setting."

He went on to reveal that this year there would be fourteen initial HouseGuests, a record number.

"There are secrets that will be revealed which will impact this cast in a different way than other casts have been impacted. The same could be said of the X Factor and last year's DNA theme," Shapiro added.

"I think it is one of the very best casts we have ever had based on looking at them as an entire group of 14 and as distinct individuals and what they have going for themselves. It will be much clearer to you when they are in the house and the secrets start being revealed. It is very possible that the configuration of this cast may also lead to the uncovering of some secrets. You never know."[QUOTE]

Sounds Familiar dosent it?
