Charley has made a complete fool on herself of the celebrity weakest link tonight.

I tuned over for about 2 seconds. Could anyone let me know how the hell she was in the final 2? And Danielle Llyod for that matter? Were the other contestants rats?

Does anyone know anymore about the experimental Big Brother in January?

Bringing this thread full circle, according to Heat at least (usually fairly reliable BB wise) the show will be moving to a new location next year, but not Hammersmith as previously suggested.

Instead it's Greenford, North London - at a secluded canal-side site - all quite reminiscent of Bow.

And with CBB axed and a major overhaul in the works, fingers crossed this might be true as the show outgrew it's Elstree home two or three years ago!

I'm not actually sure that the audience is still there for BB. It was an innovation in 2000, but the product has moved on.

A location change will do little to enhance the show since it is in a false environment anyway with no discernable local features.

Granted that if they put the same amount of effort into BB9 as they have the last couple of series the location won't make any difference at all - but the change is required as they've simply outgrown the current house, meaning the main house has just got smaller and smaller while twists have been restricted to some form of House Next Door.

A bigger site should mean a better house and more options for any secondary houses or secret areas - plus a decent sized garden which gives more options for tasks, and ideally a specific task arena too.

Studio wise and if it's a case of crowd stood outside house with Davina in the middle again eviction nights won't improve - but if they use it as an excuse to get Davina back in the studio and begin putting effort into the eviction night shows (something that's been missing since BB1-4) it's a start.

If they don't take the opportunities things won't improve - but a new house could be the catalyst to give the show the changes it requires, and the series has shown once already it can reinvent itself - and I'm hopeful they can do it again.

That's exactly what people are sick and tired of though. People don't want yet another "secret" house or "secret" areas anymore. It's going to take more then what looks like a carpet warehouse to re-ignite interest in Big Brother.

1) The Elstree lease has been extended to at least 2010
2) Elstree studios want the show to stay there
3) Endemol also want the show to stay there
4) People were calling for the axe after BB4. BB8 is the BB4 of the evil era. It will return in May with a bang. Trust me. Next year we will have a series to remember that could blow BB3, 5 and 6 out of the water.

A new house would actually help. I really like the Elstree site and as a die hard fan ( Embarassed ) it would never be the same if they moved away, but the show really needs to freshen up and get away from the residential estate in which it is currently in. They need to go back to a secluded environment were noone can shout over the wall.

The twists need to stop. I'm not calling for a back to basics because that doesn't work anymore, but if they are going to continue to do twists they have to stop involving secret housemates, messing with nominations etc. There are a million and one new twists they could do that have never been done before. Because the twists have already been done before, the innocence of the housemates is ruined and it ruins the show.

1, 2 and 3 were quoted in the Daily Star, so that suggests they're meaningless. Agree with you on point number 4 - they've managed it once before, so hopefully can once again.

Agree that the idea of throwing in numerous random twists throughout the season needs to stop - but completely twist free doesn't work either as viewers are impatient - and in between moaning about the latest twist, the fans moans about the lack of them.

What they need is some major format changes - two or three big twists which affect the entire series, not just a couple of episodes. The core process of nominations, evictions and regular tasks needs to remain - but not necessarily in the format we've had for the last eight years.

Guys

I can confirm that the new house is in Greenford, I know this because I work next door to where they are building it.
After reading in Heat on Thursday that they are building the new house in Greenford we were amazed how much the pictures of the new house resemble a building that they are constructing just next door to our building.
We decided to go and speak to the builders and they confirmed that the building in Greenford will be the new house.
At present it is very open, not seculded at all and resemble something of a factory and not a bb house, still , i can now watch on closely as the house takes shape. The only one thing you can clearly see is the Front door at the moment which seems to be massive!
