I like the way they have made Big Brother this year. The 'Secrets and Lies' part is a very devious thing to do, but it also captures viewers. I also like the way they replaced Brian with Emma - a very GOOD thing to do. She's a lovely presenter and also very beautiful.I think she gets some viewers just to watch her and nothing else! Anyway, she's on both shows now, which is better. To get the promotion to the main show she must be liked - by viewers, critics and Channel 5 itself.

I think it was Ben Frow, C5's director of programmes that directly promoted her - a good promotion!

The changes in presentation and the slight change in format appears to have worked with a slightly increased share this year. Hardly C4 figures, but a start which will possibly keep C5 reacquiring the rights.
The sound was blanked briefly during Big Brother's Bit on the Side: Rylan's Supersized Sunday this afternoon, just before the last break. I think one member of popular boyband 911 may have done a swear after he inhaled from a bag containing a particularly smelly cucumber.
Rylan Clarke said "Coming up [SOUND BLANKED], so see you after the break". The subtitles did not reflect the fact that the sound had been blanked so didn't really make sense.
Big Brothers Bit On The Side has shown the segment "Aj's Final Word" every Thursday for 3 weeks. All they have done is cut the "Weird Facts" bit this week..

I don't know why given a panel, and audience.. and guests.. that they need to fill the time with AJ (who has to be the worst Big Brother presenter since Zeze Ifore) and the ' VT Team sketches'.
Both are done to death.
On another note, I have to give it to Channel 5 and Endemol. They've done the best series since BB7. Great housemates, house, tasks and presenter changes (Rylan really surprised me). Big Brother has turned into a mind game, the paranoia sweeping the house has been fantastic to watch.
The pair, who have reached the final round of Big Brother auditions three times but are yet to make it into the house
Wouldn't surprise me if they turn up on the Celeb version of the show now.
I remember in the final series on Channel 4 where they held a lucky dip for the last contestant to go in he was one of the fifty or show who could have been chosen.
There is actually an internal BBC training module on how to avoid using the same contributors in programmes and it is based specifically around how to avoid re-booking Graham (as a case study of course!) and features many clips of him on A Place in the Sun, BB's Big Mouth etc.
This program has finished now. Rylan Clarke was the surprise winner. It seems strange having the final on a Monday, it completely passed me by. I just watched the 2 hours and 45 minutes this evening, mainly on fast forward. Celebrity Big Brother starts on Thursday.
