On a more interesting note, Channel 5's interest in the format has been confirmed tonight. Which alongside information on Endemol extending their lease on the house's land for 3 more years, makes for a more positive outcome regarding Big Brother.

The most positive outcome would be to rest it for a few years. I'm sure by then Channel 4 would look more kindly on reviving the format.

Quite frankly the thought of Five getting their hands on the show fills me with utter dread. And it would only be axed another couple of years down the line anyway, after they run it into the ground.

Completely agree. I think Five could do more damage to it than anything that's happened in recent years, especially if the Daily Star are put in charge of casting! Rest it now and I'm sure in the future it could have a fairly long term format, but a couple of years on Five could end up killing it off for good.

Looks like Jedward are on the way in (!)

I love this quote:
Quote:
The 18-year-olds said last night: “We’re extremely honoured to be the first people in the show’s history to go into the Big Brother house to do a performance.

*Cough* Sugababes, Celeb Hijack, 2008 Laughing

Last year I'd have understood, but this series just doesn't need Z-list celebs visiting the house - the HMs are holding the show together enough without them. The Glee task last week could have been done with one of the HMs themselves put in charge and Jedward bring absolutely nothing to the house other than annoyance, however entertaining they may be.

Celeb guests should only be used where it's Big Brother, rather than the celeb, who benefits from their presence.

I agree about prefering it on Channel 4. In my opinion, bringing it back on E4 might even be a good idea, as the viewing figures would be very good for such a channel. Doubt Channel 4 will go back on this though, seeing their official reason axing it is due to their remit responsibility.

So realistically, Five is the option most logical now. And if Endemol are in charge, it shouldn't go stereotypically downhill just cause it's on Five.

Ok... I don't mean to spread nationwide panic but... Has BB11 - Don't Stop Believing been officially released? I saw it on The Box earlier... Shocked

God, I hope not. C4 part-own The Box though, so that might be why.

Big Brother's Little Brother played out a pre-recorded Zig and Zag interview with Jon Tickle. Zig and Zag introduced a clip, but instead of the clip they played out the start of the interview again where Zig and Zag introduced a clip, this time the clip played out without issue. George Lamb acknowledged the problem after the complete interview had played out.

Just thought TV Forum would like to know.

I have to say Rachel was a natural on that video, playing up to the camera!

I'm guessing she'll be the one leaving on Friday. Shame Josie isn't up this week, she's finally being shown up by Sam. Who must be the very first housemate to go in promising to stir things, and actually stick to it!

Part of me hopes he wins now! Laughing

This got an unexpected airing during the first few minutes of BBLB on Friday:

I think SOP Fill may perhaps be 'Start of Programme Filler'

I can't work out what 16:9 FHA means though. Any ideas?
(obviously 16:9 means widescreen, I mean the FHA)

Many thanks, Gav.

However, that leads me to ask why a picture is transmitted as a 720x576 image and then stretched to a 16:9 aspect ratio later on?

Well other than yesterday he's been favourite to win, and all housemates dip and rise, so there's a very very good chance he will win. Cool
