Big Brother is staying at Elstree until at least the end of BB8. The contract ends in August 2007 - they wanted longer but were not given permission!

The contract with C4 also runs to BB8 in 2007, but C4 have said they have no intentions of dropping the show and handing it to a rival broadcaster!

The studio - I've always hated Davina linking to the house from the crowd. I prefered it in the studio where the HMs couldn't here the crowd reactions - and then having the screen open for Davina to walk through the crowd to meet the evictee.

I do think that this year the crowd had an impact on results - specifically Saskia and Maxwell. When all HMs were up in week 2, these two got massive cheers.

Personally I don't think they changed anything themselves, but the way people reacted around them certainly changed and the likes of Derek and Team Diva began a bitching campaign to get them out!

I also hate the booing. It's not irritated me as much this year, but in the past I've generally said axe the crowd but the atmosphere of the final usually changes my mind. Well, the Makosi hecklers didn't this year!

I'd say just have the 100 or so people in the studio and get rid of the outdoor crowd (would help with their licencing problems too!) - with only the launch night and final having the large outdoor crowd!

As for replacing Davina. I don't want her to go, and she won't for a while. Dermot is the obvious replacement, but I think he'll quit BBLB before Davina quits Big Brother.

My choice would be Liza Tarbuck. I think she has the warmth and sarcasm to carry it off, but would also be quite different to Davina. I'd then have Russell Brand hosting a merged version of BBLB and BBBM!

After years of the UK using their own BB logo and not the Dutch BB logo - used in most countries, though most notably not the USA as well as the UK - the Dutch have now started using this year's Channel 4 BB logo ... http://www.talpa.tv/big-brother/

As for their house, it's very swish compared to the UK one. There's some good video footage on the site under 'Foto & Video' plus a montage of international footage starting with UK 2005 at http://www.talpa.tv/web/show/id=47633/contentid=5550/dbid=1/typeofpage=47019

Interesting for them to use our logo

Don't like it on the green background though

Makosi is apparently facing deportation from the UK . . .

Quote:

Big Brother contestant Makosi Musambasi says she has
been given notice by immigration officials to quit the UK.

The 24-year-old from Zimbabwe said her working visa
had been curtailed after she left her job as a cardiac
nurse to appear on the reality show.

Ms Musambasi has 10 days to lodge an appeal. If it fails,
she must leave the country or face being deported.

The issue came to light after police stopped her for
not wearing a seatbelt as a passenger in a car.

BB Craig and Anthony to Live Together

Big Brother 'couple' Craig and Anthony are to become real-life housemates, it has been reported.

The odd couple are planning to buy a flat together, the Daily Star has claimed.

Camp crimper Craig, 20, and disco dancer Anthony, 23, have become best buddies since the end of the reality TV show - which Anthony won, scooping a £50,000 jackpot.

Anthony was reported as saying: "If we both stay calm, it'll work out fine. Craig is a really good mate and I still want to share a flat with him.

"There's a pad in West Hampstead we've both fallen in love with. But I've told him I don't want him getting stroppy when I'm chasing the girls, and that there are ground rules we'll both have to observe.

"He gets upset when I want to pull, so I need to watch how I speak to him when there are girls around."

The pair had a tempestuous relationship while in the house, arguing constantly and then making up with one another.

Craig's infatuation with Anthony gripped the show's viewers, and now looks to have carried over into the real world.

They are reported to have had a row in London celeb-hangout Chinawhite, when Craig shouted at Anthony for chatting up a blonde without consulting him first.

I so don't see this working somehow!

Craig is so going to look on it as a relationship though, and Ant probably isn't doing Craig any favours in the long run - I reckon he likes the attention, but who would want to deal with the psychological mind-games 24/7?

Perosnally though I think that if Maxwell & Saskia hadn't have becoem a couple that Maxwell & Anthony would have been sharing a flat instead
