Big Brother is a big commitment to keep up with really and I haven't been able to maintain interest this year. I think they need to go back to half hour highlights programmes, there have been too many extended shows for no apparent reason.
It'll be a relief when it's all over this time around.

I have enjoyed it this year, but I do agree with this sentiment.
I don't think commercial channel C4 are going to axe any programme that still consistantly pulls in 4 million viewers a night, if we're being honest.
On the basis that odd numbered series seem to be the best ones (as they just tend to coast on even numbered years), Big Brother 7 should be absolutely amazing.
Unforunately E4 cut to ads, but this morning the HMs were woken up with the full BB theme tune and then Marcus Bentley started commentating on what they were doing live!
Now, at the risk of sounding obsessed it's noticable how the critics have come out of the woodwork since the Kinga bottle incident and began slamming the show again!
As for ratings - well, the figures can't lie - but ratings overall are down alot this summer across all channels. The soaps are struggling to get 7 to 8 million viewers.
Saturday's BB always brings the average down, but this year the Sunday editions have performed better than previous years, regularly hitting the 4m mark - and occassionally winning the slot. The weekday editions can vary considerably with anything from 3.5 to 6.5m viewers.
One thing that does annoy me though is the claims now that Celebrity Love Island "trounced" BB in the ratings. They did no such thing - in that period BB averaged 4.1m, CLI 3.6m. CLI only beat BB on a handful of occassions after Corrie on Monday nights.
Voting is said to be considerably down and this year figures haven't been released - but it is no surprise. The price is now at least 35p, and of course people are now alot more wary of voting. The positive though from less voting is that we've had quite a few surprise results.
The website though is said to be more popular than ever with 9.4m unique visitors - 27% up on last year and 285% up on 2003.
As for my own thoughts: I never though BB2 would be bettered, but for me this series has knocked it off the top of the podium. The introduction of Secret Missions has been key to this series - and it's been much tougher psychologically with HMs having to deceive each other to win tasks etc.
I'm now so glad BB4 flopped as Big Brother wouldn't have moved on if it hadn't. Last year though was very much pantomime evil - this year we've seen intelligent twists which have really tested the housemates and entertained the viewers!
Be interesting to see the ratings tonight as well. It hit 6.2m on Wednesday and tonight should get more. And considering the top soaps are currently only attracting 7 or 8 million viewers, I think the final could easily win the ratings tonight.

Seeing what it's up against, that really is a no-brainer.
