And he could've left it, and maybe won and got £200k

I'm quite surprised about that. I thought, being Eugene, he would have erred on the side of caution. But good for him nevertheless!!

Shame that he couldn't have had £200,000 if he does win, though...

Good for him as well. I think he was totally correct in the way he approached the situation, and it appears the housemates respect his decision as well. Everyone's a winner!

If anyone is into physcology, this was apparently best on the 'prisoners dilemma'

What a great twist!

I suspect Eugene may be less likely to win now - as he's effectively half-one financially already. Be interesting to see if Anthony gets the other £50k.

It would be hilarious if Eugene won and got both halves!

(Have any of the housemates told him about the £200k doubling if he hadn't taken the money - because only they, and not Eugene, knew that...)

Imagine not taking the money though and not winning. I've thought about it constantly since the show and I still dunno what I would have done. On one hand, it is quite selfish but on the other, 50K!!!!!

It hasn't made him any more unpopular in my eyes, but it will still be very close between him and Ant.

On one hand, people may stop voting for him because he has got his fair share of the money and should therefore allow someone else to take their cut, but o the other people may start voting because of the way he handled the situation - so it could go either way, or not make any difference at all.

I must admit I thought of all people Eugene would have been the least likely to accept the offer. There was always going to be a catch!

I'm sure he took alot of comfort from Kinga when he acknowledged that it was the morally wrong thing to do with Kinga replying she'd have done the same! Laughing

Although Anthony had slipped back into position as favourite, I think Eugene's decision will actually end up costing him £150,000. His chances of winning have certainly gone down with this decision!

As for tonight's show - pre-watershed Big Brother is never a good idea. It have been much better to have Lost at 8pm and 10pm with Big Brother in an hour-long slot at 9pm.

Wouldn't he lose out on either £50,000 or £100,000? If he wins, he will walk away wth £100K, £100,000 less than he could have potentially, whereas if he doesn't he's lost out on only £50K?
