It's performing quite well, probably around the same as this point last year.
There is still the weekend dip, but it's winning all it's head to head with CLI by a clear million or so.
The only time CLI beats BB seems to be on Monday nights when CLI airs after Corrie - then ITV release a press statement claiming CLI is wiping the floor with BB!
Several Big Brother fansites track the viewing figures, for example: http://www.geocities.com/thatbigbrothershow/ratings.html

...and Wednesday nights
see here
Read that though and it's obviously an ITV report considering the focus on CLI - and the fact other websites report Wednesdays BB got 3.7m, peaking at 4.6m.
Sad really that CLI feel the need to start their press releases with a reference to Big Brother!

The first real indication of public opinion is when Davina read out the names of the nominees before the eviction announcement. Lesley got the biggest boos, shortly followed by Sam then Roberto. Vanessa got mild booing, but it was cheers for the rest, with a massive cheer for Maxwell and Saskia.
And another eviction, another mistake with Lesley being evicted over Sam. Though we won't notice that Sam is still in the house (though Anthony seems to be taking a vocal dislike to her), evicting Lesley has mean one of the characters has gone.
Also, I think there are now quite a few things wrong with the eviction show...
As I think I said last week (and last series) the announcement should be done from the isolation of the studio so the HMs have no idea what the public opinion of them is.
It's also a shame they can't squeeze in a couple of features about the eviction, rather than just fill the first show with highlights and telephone numbers. These have been demoted to BBLB - which today had two great features profiling the nominees and getting the opinion of the nation in Little Brother's Little Chair.
Most importantly though it's the eviction itself. This year the HMs remain in the lounge while the evictee must walk through the garden then through the kitchen-diner to reach the door, all in 30 seconds. Most of the countdown can't be heard, and the HMs can't give them a proper good bye. Let the HMs back to near the main door, and give the evictee the full minute countdown.
Finally, Davina get your facts right. Throughout the show she kept saying it was the first time we could evict any housemate - though this isn't strictly true. With six remaining last year all the HMs were up for eviction, while in the first week of series 3 all HMs were up for eviction, though the final choice between the two HMs with the most votes was up to the housemates.
On the other hand though it was a pretty decent interview, though not as good as last week, and the crowd in the studio at least were kept under control. Just disapointing they didn't have the toilet clip to show Lesley, and also that Davina didn't mention Lesley was the only HM who got no nominations last week - or the twist about Makosi being the "unlucky" HM in the first week.

Good Lesley's gone! I'm pleased the viewer sensibility hasn't changed. Just shows the type of people watching this as opposed to Celeb Chav Island.

It was mentioned in the pre show interviews that this idea has been bought in so the other housemates don't know if they've actually left the house or not, Bedsit style. They also said that blinds would be put up around the living area, but this doesn't seem to have materialised.

I think they mean the kitchen-diner, where there is a blind, rather than the lounge.
Anyway, moving on it now appears that Mary has had her revenge and cast a spell to turn her ex-HMs into cardboard boxes!
Or it could just be another task? It's quite bizarre to watch.
The winner gets access to a luxury food supply, a three-course meal each night for the next three days and a further mystery reward.
Science, Kamel and Sam have already quit, with Sam being tempted out by bacon sandwiches. Vanessa didn't participate as she was in hospital, so got a bit of a shock when she returned to cardboard city!
BB will be using various tricks to tempt out the HMs, including offering video messages from home!
