I thought you're not allowed to Product-Place anything unhealthy, high in sugar, or high in fat, or high in salt? So unless all they're allowed to buy is carrots, how are they allowing Morrisons branded shopping to arrive?

Speaking of audience last night's show managed to pretty much half the audience it had on the launch show to just 1.4m.

That's normal though. It always launches big and then settles at around 1m, which is good for Channel 5.

Worth noting that for the first time ever tonight, a Big Brother eviction show will be coming indoors because of a severe weather warning:

What about the audience? Surely they won't all be able to fit into the BBBOTS studio..?

I'm surprised, seeing as most of the studio is devoted to audience seating, and they'll have one in instantly after the show is finished!

There probably will be an audience just like in the days where the interviews were in a studio. I think the 'no audience' thing is just referring to no crowd. It will hopefully make them realise that the interviews work better in the studio and keep them there from next week!

Discounting the crowd outside, interview (and previously the whole show) being anchored from the studio there have been a number of evictions which just featured a studio, including all Celeb BB2 evictions (IMO the best eviction set up at Elstree), the eviction of Gos in BB4 following the bombscare and of course Jade when she was a racist, plus one in BB7 from "the House Next Door".

The previous examples are a little bit ambiguous though. CBB2 was a different set up entirely, BB4 evictions were mainly presented from the studio (they didn't move fully outdoors for the main show until BB5), the House Next Door eviction wasn't a proper eviction and was never planned to have a crowd, whilst the Jade interview was still presented outdoors minus a crowd. It was very eerie. Not to mention that BOTS only started last year, so Channel 5 are technically correct, anything for a USP Laughing . Bad weather has never stopped it before because the outdoor set has always been minimal. That is probably a drawback of having such an elaborate set, and it will probably play havoc with the sound equipment even though the weather isn't even that bad.

However the spin off set has appeared on the main show before. I remember during BB5 when they first started outdoor interviews and realised it didn't work, they quickly moved them indoors using the BBLB set. Of course they also used the BBLB set during 2010 but it was always the plan and had a different setup.

I wasn't planning to watch but I'll watch tonight from a geek point of view to see how it works. If it gets a positive reaction then hopefully they'll make it a permanent fixture. Interviews in the eye just do not work. I'm also interested to see if they move the outdoor cameras indoors and broadcast it in HD, given the BOTS set isn't HD.

I think they'd get higher ratings if they continued with them outside tonight but just advertised the fact that due to bad weather Brian Dowling could die live on air (though he does that every show!).

I assume to the BOTS studio is once again the other side of Elstree, rather than just across the car park like the old C4 studios.

Its in HD, Brian is even worse than usual (and presenting with a handheld mic?!), they have the usual BOTS audience plus a few extras dotted around the set. It feels completely flat and as terrible as they are, it shows how much the crowd is needed (just not for interviews). Nothing more to add so no point in watching any more of it. Back to Channel 4.

Isn't the BOTS studio in the warehouse next door the house? (ie where Big Mouth used to come from)

BOTS is always in HD isn't it? It just sometimes broadcasts on 5 Star which isn't in HD.

Presumably to make it more interesting, Channel 5 have allowed discussion of nominations this series.
